I hate cold, and I know ya'll do too. I was looking around for electric stuff, trying to pay as little as possible (big surprise), and came across this. I'm gonna give it a try this weekend if I can find all the stuff I need, time permitting of course. Now if I can just find a website that shows me how to manufacture time. | ||

Thanks Ray, but the $200 dollar lining is a bit steep, hence the search. I did however find in my search a vest for $125, at my local Cycle Gear. | ||

I do all my own sewing with a heady duty machine!!  Odie Glitch that looks cool (warm)! I was talking to my friend that's the engineer at the CEP place and he said they are starting to use teflon wiring in their products as it has a 300,000 flex or bend strength vs. regular wire which has about 100,000 flex life. i use a widder electric vest, have had it 6 years,still works well. picked up an aerostich vest this summer, used it some. it is a bit bulkier, and makes a scosch more heat. my strategy is to use the aerostich for long (over 500 mile) days, and mostly use the widder for around town and shorter rides. they are both good equipment, darned near essential for night rides in Alaska. | ||

My buddy make his own heated jacket a few years back. Paid <$50 and it still works great. I was running my widder vest/gloves and heated grips yesterday (27deg/80MPH/45min) and was fine. Heat is good. | ||

I *think* the XB will handle a small load. I'm not worried about getting hot clothing, only warm, so the way I understand it, what I'm after won't put much of a drag on the system. There is an empty space in the XB's fuse box, good place for what I'm after. When we're all done, I'll show what we did. | ||
