Right now im not doing squat. Big ole mess going on, merger is a cluster Fu, nothing signed, etc. 6 months now & they still cant get their heads out of their @sses & then managment wonders why we are pissed off.
The plant is cleared out except for the 3 lines in my dept. Supposedly they have a verbal agreement now with the Italians & are just waiting to dot the I's & cross the T's. But so far the offer they gave sucked. Basically its exactly the same as I make now with no added incentive. Hmm, sell my house, move, wife needs to quit & find a new job, further from the grandkids, etc. Screw that, unless they sweeten the pot with more $$ & vacation time they can shove their job. Of the 8 guys in my dept only 1 is saying yes he is going & 1 other is on the fence.
Looks like we may be in the plant here until at least april, fine with me because then I can get my severance pay, retention bonus, & collect unemployment all summer long. Planning on attending school....looking at Radiology right now, but that might change. |

I went to Cancun during spring break once. Saw some real nice Canadian bush. Isn't Shania Twain Canadian.
