I have in my possion a 2001 X1, a 2004 xb 12 firebolt, a 2004 V-rod and a wife that is 5'1". The V-rod was bought for her but it is to much bike for her(I love it) the buells are way to tall for her. Now she wants a side car for the X1. Can some one give me some Ideas and approx. cost of such a venture. I would like to hear from any one with side car knowledge. Thanks in adv. Cowboy |

I knew I had that puppy somewhere - you mean like that - don't know nothing about it, but perhaps it jogs a memory with someone else. I've got an X-1 also somewhere but it looked more like a permanent deal if you want I could probably hunt it down, but I think it was done up more trike fashion - I see it on the screensaver now and again - though so I know it exists somewhere in my files - lol GT - JBOTDS! Why not a Blast with the low seat option? |

I am with Steve. get her a Blast and send it to Aaron for his big bore kit. It will blow an X1 with a sidecar of the road! |

HERETIC!!! a side car on a buell? how the hell do you drag the pegs with a sidecar? if you make a buell so you can't drag the pegs you will burn eternally in the fires of hell. MY wife is 5'1" and bought her own xb9L we cranked the shocks down to her weight, and she handles it great. there is a lot of height difference in the lows. the seat and the shocks are shorter. "a 2004 V-rod and a wife that is 5'1". The V-rod was bought for her but it is to much bike for her(I love it)" sounds like a way to justify another bike for you, rather than a bike that she actually wanted? If she is actually a rider, actually wants to have her own bike and ride it. then there's other bikes out ther that would suit. don't give in and don't shackle a buell to a 1 wheeled anchor.

I Concur with the majority - get her a low seat, hotrodded Blast, and then if she really gets into it, she can step to a XBL - lol GT - JBOTDS! EZ |

I had a BMW with a sidecar. It was ill handling with the sidecar hooked up, not really like a trike or motorcycle. Broke a lot of spokes in the sidecar wheel. The sidecar wheel either wanted to fly or skid. It takes some getting used to. i would go for the short blast option also. |

Hey I apericate the instrest but geting another bike is not a option. MY wife is the one with the deep pockets If she wants to transform the x1 that is the way it will have to be. Now that I have retired I have to spend her money he he |

Find a way to lower it, That is my plan for my S2. I have info. on a company that has a bracket that will lower the rear. (PM me, I'll get you the info.) |
