While discussing the unspeakable joy of pretty women dressing the way only pretty women can, Blake offered: "If a woman did that to me in public or wherever, the pain she would experience would give her pause against ever repeating the act. " To which Oddbawl wondered aloud: "Just what the hell is that supposed to mean anyway?" And to which Scooteroid added: "That's a very good question. I'm kinda curious, too." Gotta admit, Blake, the comment DOES beg the question. Just what DID you mean when you said: "Are they bending over sticking their hot-pink clad ••• in my face? No, I didn't think so. If a woman did that to me in public or wherever, the pain she would experience would give her pause against ever repeating the act." It's probably good you address this for our mutual edification, Blake, because I gotta tell ya, from where I'm sitting it doesn't look like such a very nice thing to say. What exactly were you trying to communicate? Lornce |

"Are they bending over sticking their hot-pink clad ••• in my face? No, I didn't think so. If a woman did that to me in public or wherever, the pain she would experience would give her pause against ever repeating the act." Reminds me of a true event I witnessed in Sturgis during the 2000 event. The wife & I were in 1 eyed Jacks which is a pretty cool bar on mainstreet. Lots of scantily dressed bartenders who definitely are not hard on the eyes. Anyways there was 1 who was dressed in a tiny bikini & wearing chaps & looking so fine. She would pose with guys for a buck or 2 in various rather risque positions. She had just finished one such shot & there was guy next to me kneeling on the floor & he had his camera aimed squarely at her @ss. She turns around, pushes his camera away & says..& this is an exact quote I will never forget. "Sir, please dont disrespect me like that". I just about fell off my bar stool. This chick is running around half naked, posing for shots in exchange for $$, yet 1 guy taking a pic of her is being disrespectful? |

In some places that would be considered assualt, especially if you had the opportunity to walk away, others may consider it assault on a women, or abuse, my suggestion is if someone were to do that to you to would walk away, and not hit or harm anyone, you could land yourself in jail or in the very least be fined, and escorted to the door, you may want to stay away from moto gp, i hear there are a lot of disturbingly dressed women, and you may not like it http://www.taasa.org/ R |

You didn't really want to encourage the assault of women on Badweb, did you Blake? Or are you into some kinda kinky role playing? Anyhow, here's the latest Pirelli Calendar for anyone who's interested. Wow! Some of these models look like they've got a few miles on 'em, though.... http://www.sunbelt-software.com/stu/pirelli.gif |

Thanks for looking out for me Roger. I don't mind the scant cladding; people for the most part are free to wear whatever they like. It's the sticking it in my face part that would warrant a spank. I suppose I would give due warning though. Lornce, No, and no. |

I find Lornce's new avatar offensive! Not all sheep dress like that! I've personally known several sheep over the years and most of them are... Oh, wait. I may have said too much. |

Newfie...R1? Faster than my Miata? Hell, that thing is faster than the projectiles exiting my .45 cal handguns and I fully admit I covet Dyna's R1. Just don't let him know. LOL However, you hit the nail right on the head. It is my idea of an Ultra/Goldwing with training wheels. All the modern conveniences, a sporting ride and about the same luggage space. Not to mention, I just put the Ice Tires on and this will be my sixth winter driving in the snow and ice in Wisconsin. Can't do that on a bike without staining your shorts. |

I'm a little late to the Miata/'Vette part of this thread, but as a former first generation Miata owner and current generation Miata owner I am offended by the implication that my car is half the car a 'Vette is. Everyone knows its more like 5/8ths! Maybe someday instead feeding it to grow up to be a 'Vette I'll just cram a V-8 down it's throat!

Not to mention causing severe fishtailing at speed when you least expect it. LOL IMHO, if I want a car that fast, I will by one that is designed to handle both the power and the twisties at the same time. Oh well, time to take a break from cars and bikes and fantasize about some fine firm pink tush only inches from my nose. |

Hey...You have to love Lornce's new avatar. Is either a British Army Falkland Islands War Bride or a Texas Mistress. You know the old Texas joke: "Texas. Where men are men and sheep run scared." Apologies to our brothers in the Lone Start State, but you have to admit you've heard it before. LOL |

Newfie...My neighbor is a Guzzi collector and has one set up with a sidecar and three others without. He has more fun with his 5 year old son in the sidecar than you can imagine and the boy loves it. With the size of your family, I would think it to be a natural extension of the sport for them. |

Newfie, my former landlord and good friend had a Ural sidecar rig that he got to take his German Shepherd for rides in. You don't need the two wheel drive unless you're planning on doing some cross country maneuvers, or riding in some really deep snow. I rode it a few times, and found it to be really weird. A sidecar rig is no longer a motorcycle; you don't lean it, and you actually have to turn the bars when cornering. Riding a sidecar rig around will get you more attention than you'd ever expect; people are attracted to them like you wouldn't believe. Urals aren't too reliable, but the parts are dirt cheap, and they're real easy to work on. They're pretty reasonably priced, too. |

The Vette/Miata falls right inline with the Miata/5.0 that was done several years back and is an available kit now as well. I know the Monster Miata (5.0 powered) used to run alot of the SoCal SCCA Prosolo events and did VERY well in both acceleration AND handling. Apparently the early generation Miatas were a near bolt in deal for the 5.0 |

Hey Newf, Spare yourself some anguish... and lost $$. Find an older two valve BMW twin to hang a sidecar on. You won't regret it. The Urals and Dneprs are not very sound machines. Am actually toying with the notion of bolting a chair to my '72 R75/5. The Velorex is a nice light weight unit and easy to come by, but the Ural chairs looks more traditional. Like a German WWII piece. I could find you a nice older BMW in Ontario for a good price if you ever have any interest. I've ridden those bikes for over 20 years and they're bomb-proof, really nice quality gear. They attract an interesting crowd of owners, too.... laters, Lornce |
