Blake after sleeping with er I mean close to you for a few days in NYC, tramping around Gotham town and attending "The Never Ending Wedding" I have a small and I mean small insight into your er shall we call it personality. If a bunch of your freinds want to give you a present, all be it for the selfish reason that we dont want to look at your ugly face incased in the gay yellow helmet any more, you can do but one thing and accept it gracefully. Now I know this is hard, because like so many people on this board you are a giver and not a taker but in this instance for the sake of peace and harmony just bow that head of yours and take the gift in the spirit it is given. And if you don't I will start the contact patch thread up again, and I am positive that others will chime in witha synthetic oil discussion, followed by a bunch of other stuff that will keep you and the modereators busy till 2006. Just kidding mate but not about accepting the gift. |

>>>> But I have a big problem. I've told more than one person seeking to use this forum to promote personal charitable causes that we could no longer support that kind of activity. Please, please, please let me keep my integrity intact and please donate all proceeds to the ROADRACING WORLD Action Fund. >>>> Wait - so since dyna can't solicit for his charity (your noggin) you can solicit for yours? All I really got out of that post was that Dyna's in trouble again. (Message edited by josh_ on December 08, 2004) |

Okay, Okay. No offense Blake but, C'mon. This is your site. If we all want to do something nice for you, you are just gonna hafta sit back and take it like a man. If it wasn't for this board, I don't think I would have close to a quarter of the knowledge I have picked up from here. I realize that I am also a little stupider for reading some of 420's posts, but you have to take the good with the bad. Yeah, the whole "Dyna's Fund is no good, donate to mine" thought didn't make much sense, but who am I? Call it a gift Blake. We owe you one. Rich |

greg- got it- it hit my junkmail folder, so i didn't see it immediately. blake- the spirit of giving shouldn't have any bearing on the integrity of your excellent site. you deserve something for the work you do here. don't want ttaht shiny new helmet winding up on the 'island of forgotten toys' waiting ofr rudolph and yukon cornelius to rescue it now, do we? |

Vegas, Absolutely, and that is what I humbly suggested. Thanks for honoring my humble request. I'd be very grateful if y'all could please honor my request on that. Y'all are true friends and really touch my heart with your generosity and kindness. Thank you again for that. It's not a problem donating to a worthy outside charity that BadWeB supports (note the RRW Action fund banner that pops up in rotation here). But the policy that I have personally enforced here on more than one occasion is that there can be no personal fundraising. What kind of example am I setting if I then allow fundraising that benefits me? I'd rather not have to deal with that hypocrisy. So please, please I beg you all, as much as I appreciate the gesture, I must protect the integrity of the board and my own to boot. So please, I am begging you, please please donate the funds to the RRW Action Fund in the name of BadWeatherBikers.com. I'm a racer, and I have lots of friends who are racers. You'll be giving me a huge gift by helping to make the sport less perilous for us all. Thanks again to you all, I am truly grateful and very much appreciative of the kind and very thoughtful gesture by Greg and all of you. It truly warms my heart. You all are good friends. Thanks for that. That is one thing above virtually all others that I value most. Please, let's please not argue about this any further. Please. Besides, you'll not likely discover my helmet size anyway. Thanks again, and Merry Christmas to all. |

Just one more comment... I know all to well how it makes one feel when someone rejects a thoughtful heartfelt gift. I've suffered such rejection myself and it hurt me. I just want to be sure that none of you think for one second that under any other circumstances I would reject a gift from any of you. I totally dig getting gifts. Please, please, try to understand my situation and please also realize that your donation to the RRW Action Fund in the name of BadWeatherBikers.com will be a HUGE gift to me. It will garner attention for the site and for Buell enthusiasts everywhere, and that is a great and gratifying thing as well as helping to protect me and my racer friends. Yes, we use air fence at OHR! Thank you all for understanding. |

Well, may I suggest something. Why not we honor Blake's request, and donate it to his requested charity. On one condition... He promises to smash the gay ash looking banana helmet of his, and buys a new one |

BTW, we actually had some sections of air fence setup at Blackhawk my last track day there. I was rather suprised to see it. |

I am really impressed with the air-fence. I've seen guys crash into the tires coming too hot into turn 7 at OHR and tucking the front; it was always bad news. Since having the air-fence, the racers who have tucked the front and hit the fence in 7 have walked away. Thanks for understanding. I'll do my best to degayify the yellow helmet. |

We will do as Blake wishes, all the money collected will be donated in 1 large lump sum to his choice of charity noted above. All contributors will be listed here but I will keep the amounts out of it. But we need proof that Blake gets a new helmet first. |

The donation to the RRW Action Fund in the name of BadWeatherBikers.com is a wonderful gift for me. And as always it truly is the thought that really counts, no matter the gift, and the thoughtfullness of y'all is truly heartwarming. Thank you all very much. I'll be sure to have a new helmet for when Greg comes to Texas for a weekend at OHR. And just when I was thinking of mounting up a set of those yellow tires to match. Oh well, as long as I can relieve the suffering of the helmet fashion sensitive, I guess it will be worth it. |
