What is the most horsepower that you can get out of the xb motors safely and reliably? Also can I take the internals like the gears and shafts of the baker 6 speed for the older buells with trap doors and make it fit in the xb? I don't have any pictures of the xb's tranny, so I'm just making ideas.

OK, I 'll bite, but first you must define reliable.

My notion has always been, once you stray from a stock configuration (not inc. a pipe and intake system-those are quite often designed with emissions in mind) you are becoming less reliable than stock. Buell and HD spend tons more than anybody else in our world to have their motorcycles reliable, and I certainly believe they try to get the most power out of the motorcycle without losing its reliability.

Now that being said, you can get 110-115 RWHP (dynojet dyno/no tricks) relatively reliable if it is treated properly and cared for. After that they start to become a bit unstable and need some consistant attention.

The problem is the cost that it takes to get to that number is quite high in the XB platform and that is a new thread that I am not going to at this point.
