Newr12- I'll see you Wednesday evening. You'll like my little bike it's fun. Just don't try to ride 2up, it doesn't like that too much and remind me to give you a copy of the paperwork. Silverbullet- I left Shred a message since he doesn't get on the board till the wee hours of the morning. I'm sure he'll be giving you a call this afternoon. Glitch- Damn, I bet you are useless this afternoon. Remember to drink LOTS of water!!!! It is a MUST after a massage to flush out the toxins she 'rubbed' out of your muscles. If you don't drink a good amount of water you might feel ill later this evening. Just an FYI |

One more thing- What is up with this weather???? It's so freaking warm outside I could wear shorts. I would LOVE to have gotten my bike to go to the bank this afternoon but everything is wet and it's all rainy. 68 degrees at my house What gives??? |

We can't win for losing anytime but the summer months No doubt. This is the first year I have felt the yearning to be a bike. Last year was my first winter riding a streetbike and I was just happy to ride when I could. But this year, this year is different. It feels different and man I just can't stand it. I find myself riding in the rain, in the dark, in the fog- who cares I'm on my bike. Somedays I even envy Glitch riding to work on 85 in the rain in traffic. I get so erked not being able to put miles on my bike, it's just killing me. I get it now, this is what they're talking about when it's said 'If I have to explain you wouldn't understand' Makes me have a different appreciation for Shred's predicament. He's so close to being on a bike and it just isn't happening quick enough- I can't even imagine.

For those who understand no explanation is needed, for those who don't understand, well, too bad. A motorcycle is not just a two-wheeled car; the difference between driving a car and climbing onto a motorcycle is the difference between watching TV and actually living your life. We spend all our time sealed in boxes and cars are just the rolling boxes that shuffle us from home-box to work-box to store-box and back, the whole time, entombed in stale air, temperature regulated, sound insulated, and smelling of carpets. On a motorcycle I know I'm alive. When I ride, even the familiar seems strange and glorious. The air has weight and substance as I push through it and its touch is as intimate as water to a swimmer. I feel the cool wells of air that pool under trees and the warm spokes of that fall through them. I can see everything in a sweeping 360 degrees, up, down and around, wider than Pana-Vision and than IMAX and unrestricted by ceiling or dashboard. Sometimes I even hear music. It's like hearing phantom telephones in the shower or false doorbells when vacuuming; the pattern-loving brain, seeking signals in the noise, raises acoustic ghosts out of the wind's roar. But on a motorcycle I hear whole songs: rock 'n roll, dark orchestras, women's voices, all hidden in the air and released by speed. At 30 miles per hour and up, smells become uncannily vivid. All the individual tree- smells and flower- smells and grass-smells flit by like chemical notes in a great plant symphony. Sometimes the smells evoke memories so strongly that it's as though the past hangs invisible in the air around me, wanting only the most casual of rumbling time machines to unlock it. A ride on a summer afternoon can border on the rapturous. The sheer volume and variety of stimuli is like a bath for my nervous system, an electrical massage for my brain, a systems check for my soul. It tears smiles out of me: a minute ago I was dour, depressed, apathetic, numb, but now, on two wheels, (or a Trike; for that matter), big, ragged, windy smiles flap against the side of my face, billowing out of me like air from a decompressing plane. Transportation is only a secondary function. A motorcycle is a joy machine. It's a machine of wonders, a metal bird, a motorized prosthetic. It's light and dark and shiny and dirty and warm and cold lapping over each other; it's a conduit of grace, it's a catalyst for bonding the gritty and the holy. Cars lie to us and tell us we're safe, powerful, and in control. The air-conditioning fans murmur empty assurances and whisper, "Sleep, sleep." Motorcycles tell us a more useful truth: we are small and exposed, and probably moving too fast for our own good, but that's no reason not to enjoy every minute of the ride. Author Unknown

Peter Frampton...I was thinking more like Dave Mustaine (Megadeath) Very well put Glitch....That is EXACTLY how I feel on my bike....especially the smell part. Looks like Thursday might be wet. If not I would like to roll in together to the show. Post where we would like to eat. I can meet you there. A4TR....have you ordered tickets yet? IF not can I add one more for my buddy. If you have already ordered then he can get on there. Maybe I can find an old picture of my mullet when I was in High School around '88-'89. Business up front Party in the back, baby. You will die! |

B_S- Got tix last night but I'm sure getting 1 won't be hard to come by the night of. Maybe he could swing by the Regal before we meet to eat and grab one to make sure. Where to eat- I posted a couple ideas last night. If we go to Moe's we are in a little more control of the timeline for dinner since it's a little more 'fast food' than a sit down and wait pizza place. So guys any feedback???? Or rather let me as anyone NOT want to eat at Moe's??? |

Moe's will be fine by me. I'm not a big pizza fan any more. If I had all the money I've spent on pizza since the boys, I'd be rich. |
