I think I'll pass. Tomorrow looks like rain again. This time the weather magnet chooses to stay inside...dry and warm! |

Wycked, the frame's being replaced, along with the swingarm, tranny cover, and a laundry list of smaller parts. I must've left the estimate in the van...I think the frame alone was a couple grand. I took a couple dozen pics today and, after looking the bike and pics over, can't find anything obvious that's scratched, dented, etc. that's not on the estimate. |

well then it sounds like your getting a whole brand new bike. I hadn't heard anyone else get the frame replaced, in all other cases they simply listed the bike as totaled. Maybe someone got smart and realised a new frame was only $1500. |

You wouldn't believe the snow, yes I said snow, and sleet, and ice, and rain, I rode through this weekend! Wycked, remember last time over the pass the sign said winter storm conditions, well this time it just said high winds so I thought I'd be OK. The low frost line at Buckman Springs should have tipped me off. So anywho, here's the big idiot with his feet skiing to hold the bike upright following a snow plow to Golden Acorn. Barely made the hill at the casino. Had to rent a trailer in El Centro to get my baby home! I never want to do that again!!! Useful tip through all of this, wool and thinsulate garments keep you WARM! for real. It was 32 deg and I was OK. Hope your weekends were better than mine. JWZ like the pic. Ethan, I hope they get her together soon. I too like Wycked have never heard of a frame replacement. That ususally totaled the bike. |

Brian, where there is a will there is a way, of course if you find yourself over around the Peoria area (Union Hills and 101) give me a call you will be just a few blocks from my place. Charlie with your skis it should have been no problem |

I, too, was surprised when they said they'd repair it. Like you all, I'd always heard frame damage = total loss. But like Wycked said, the frame's only $1500 (I have the invoice in front of me) and even with the rest of the parts and labor the repair bill is less than half the replacement cost. So now that my frame and engine numbers won't match, do I have to reregister the bike with AZ DMV? Probably have to ask the guys at Chandler HD. Charlie...been there, done that. NOT fun. When I was a senior in college (north central Missouri) I got caught in a sudden snowstorm that turned to freezing rain. The bike & I were on big Hondasicle by the time I found a cheap motel in which to crash. I love Phoenix! |

Ethan your frame numbers WILL match. They have to send the original frame back to Buell who will then stamp a new frame with your numbers then destroy the old frame. Atleast that is how DaveS explained it. |

I regret to say that I'll be on shift this weekend. I'll catch you some other time Vegas. Look forward to meeting you. No road trips any time soon for me. My unit has pulled out and we're at a critical manning shortage. I'll be here, at work... |

Looks like 0% chance of precipitation so I should be good to go . Look for a Black 12R blasting by the dealership at 90 completely oblivious to the fact that it just missed it's exit... I'm good at that. I once got almost all the way to the ocean before I realized I had missed my turn at the CA/AZ border. I made my destination though . Charlie: Thats cool man! I appreciate all you guys do for us out there. I want to kick Uncle Sam in the azz every day for not letting me in WO school so I could be right there with ya! M1: hehe I can honestly say that I know what ya are saying. Have done that before. I had some bright idea of taking a shortcut down to 10 one time, and got lost for hours, kept seeing "welcome to cali, now leaving cali, welcome to cali" till I found someone to help me out! See ya there! Nick |

Brian, thanks for the beers and the dinner. Did Mikel get his pipe home? I found my mirrors on eBay ! James, sorry I missed you. I'm not much into those "candy stores" and had work to do at home. I had to make an early night of it. I think I've been "stressed" out too much the past two days, lol. See ya next week ! |
