the corbin is custom made to fit ur @$$ the buell one is not. Also the corbin can be made in different colors if desired | ||

I have one thought: BUY THE BUELL. If you need to know why, just ask some of the folks here who have bought ANYTHING from Corbin. The product is usually good. If it isn't you are pretty much stuck with what you have. Eager to hear if anyone has any recent experience indicatiing this may have changed? Court | ||

They paid to ship it back and make adjustments. Took about 10 days in total. I was pleased and I LOVE the seat. Looks and feels great! | ||

I've recently returned two customer seats back to Corbin that weren't quite right. Both times they fixed the problems no charge. I've heard of Corbin bad customer service stories, but I have to say that my experiences with them since I bought A.S.B. have all been positive. There is an east coast and west coast Corbin. Maybe there's customer services differences between them, I dunno. I guess your experiences can be different depending upon who you get connected with when you call in. I deal with the same person each time and he bends over backwards to keep me (and my customers) happy. I have no seat time on the new Firebolt seat, as A.S.B has a shop Lightning but not a Firebolt. But I would rate the Corbin Lightning seat way above the Buell stock or Streetfighter seat. I have one of the new Firebolt seats in stock like the one pictured above (but with thieir shinier CF look leather...better for hanging off, a little slicker) and it is well built. Al | ||

I ordered a Corbin seat several years ago for my sportster a couple of months before Bike Week. When it arrived just before the event the stitch pattern on the seat was angled to one side. At Daytona I took the seat (along with the bike) to Corbin to show them the defect. Mike looked at it and basically told me to go F@ck myself. If someone gave me a Corbin seat as a gift I would probably punch them out or stick it up their arse*. *arse- a thank you to our distant relatives across the pond Your results may vary! | ||

Just wondering why some of you folks change the seats on the XB12R? The seat looks damn great(perforated). At first I asked the dealer if the seat was aftermarket. Nice. 2nd, the seat is very comfortable comparing to my F4i's. It is soft enough to give the comfort but firm enough to let you move around on it. | ||

I have put the Buell Custom seat on my 12R. It's flat compared to the Corbin. The photo of the Corbin looks like the seat is cupped at the rear center. Don't know if that's good or bad. | ||

Some people are saying that the cupping keeps you from getting pushed all the way to the end of the seat during harder acceleration. | ||

I have a Corbin on my XB9S. It's very comfortable and looks great. I have no complaints what so ever. Just look at my profile for a better picture. | ||

I just bought a Corbin seat for my S3T. It came in two weeks as promised. I paid $20 to ship it to Ohio. The rear lock bracket was missing. Funny thing is there was a sticker that said: "Brackets ok." I e-mailed and called them to see what was missing, they had no idea. A fellow Badwebber posted a picture of the plate showing the special rivets used. I sent the pic to Corbin. I got called the next day by Customer Service. They said if you get the seat back to us, we'll fix it. I told them I already paid to ship the seat once. So, they picked it up and fixed it promising delivery on the day before Thanksgiving. It was one week late. I still couldn't mount the seat easily. Another Bueller helped me figure out the 2 adjustments required to fit it. No instructions come with the seat and their "Tech Support" is not all that technical. As mentioned above, the product is good once you figure it out. | ||

I think I'll skip it... I don't think the folks at Corbin understand what is needed out of a good sport bike saddle. That seat seams like it would be comfortable in a straight line, but I think hanging off (or particularly the sliding off to get there) would be more difficult and less comfortable. I'll stick with the stock seat. Multiple 500+ mile days and still comfy. | ||

If you have an R I have found my Buell tail bag does a good job of keeping me on the seat in the right spot.... | ||

Their customer support in the past has been lacking, but it seems like since they went thru the financial mess with the Corbin motors part of the business they have really stepped it up. Not saying the mess is related, just that it was around that time frame where they improved. Maybe they simply had too many iron in the fire? I know I have emailed them questions regarding seat availabilty, options, etc & I have gotten an answer from 2 people in the company including the owner himself within a day. | ||

I can't say I've tried one on my XB9R but I have had them on all my other bikes in the past. Well besides the Sarget seat I had made, which still didn't help on my FZR600. I only went to them because they had seats for my bikes and they were better than stock but not worth the $$. I'd try almost anyone elses saddles before buying another Corbin. |
