Recently finished my 10K service and I've got some sort of oil making it's way down the rear shock coilover and onto the front-face of the rear swingarm. It's not coming from the fan, so it's either: 1) Rear shock leaking 2) Tranny puke vent 3) Fuel puke vent For some reason I can't locate the tranny vent in the manual. Thanks, Chris | ||

...that's what I figured. Damn! Used the exact same amount I have each time (fill to the bottom of the chain -- just less than 1 qt.) I was following the other thread and that got me thinking because I could not locate the tube/hose... Thanks guys. Least it's not the shock  Chris | ||

Why isn't there a filter for the trannie vent, and for that matter, for the fuel vent? I figgure dust or moisture can crawal up the tube. | ||

...not with mine! I seem to be able to keep dust out by making sure there's enough junk coming out the other direction. lol.  I do question the vent location, however, as it's sent crud all over my rearsets and some made it on to the back tire  Ah well, another project well done I'll just have to do a better job next time.
