J, It was nice to meet you and I had a great time riding, even though we had the pleasure of meeting one of Globes finest police officers. He said "I can't give you a ticket because I didn't have time to clock you, you guy's where going so fast, had to be over a hundred, but since I don't know what to write down, I'll just give you both warnings. The only reason that I caught you was because you slowed down for the other cars, I'm surprised you didn't pass them on the curve at the speed you where going". We'll have to do it again sometime, just not as fast. (In that Area of Course) Let me tell ya the wife is pizzed at me, So I promised her I would chill out when I ride, so I won't get any tickets "Ride it till it seizes" Ski |

Brian- good to finally ride with ya. Too bad the road was wet on the way up the mountain. It was still fun though. I'm in Phoenix Mon-Thurs, but will probably be free on Friday. Maybe we can boogie up to Superior or the Salt for a little extended ride if you're up for it. Phoenicians...I'll be out and about after work the next couple of days if anyone wants to hook up for a cold 1..or 4! |

Hey all, I'm still alive, barely, after a kamikazee laden weekend at the dunes. Sand drags, titties, and beer always make for a good time! Glad to hear you made it OK Ethan, sorry to hear about your bike. Wycked, that photo is sweet, oh, and "j", that badunkadunk is sweet too! I graduate this Friday so my time here at the Main Attraction, I mean, school has come to an end... Good-bye So-Cal, hello armpit. Back to Yuma I go. Have a good week everybody. |

I was looking for a thread that either M1 or Wycked had commented, referencing tires. I am thinking something was said about the Metzler and the Perilli tires. Can one of you guys help refresh my memory. I am going to replace my tires soon and need some good sound advice. |

If you are looking for sticky and VERY good turn in with good stability I recomend the Metzeler's or the Diablo's. I've never tried the Diablo's, but they are the same carcas as the Sportec M1, just a different tread pattern. The Metzelers work very well in the wet as well. I get about 2700-3400 out of a rear, and I've got about 7K on the front. I'll need to replace the front next time. |

Also... I spend a good deal of time on the side of the tires... If you do highway travel a good deal, you may want to look into the Metzeler MEZ6's. I've heard good things about those too. On the Sportec's I've gotten rid of the rear strip and only have about 1/8" strip on the front. The grip very well and have never done anything weird to me at all. |

Another Also... XB's seem to attract nails. All but my original Dunlop has met it's demise due to a nail or screw... I had one go down on me at 60. The bike handled it fine, but I did detect it early. I probably made it down to about 40 before it went totally flat. I was also going straight... |
