Cannot say I am impressed with 145 hp from a turboed 1430cc engine.My 1450 cc bike with a small aerocharger made 177hp and with more still in it with more tuning. Now if he had 145 without the turbo--- | ||

yall can hate on it all yall want but i think it a cool bike (just needs controls). and as for a the power deal did yall think about the fact that it still has a rev limiter? and as far as the back tire being to big well that depends on what it was being used for. If its being used for road racing then yea its to big but if its being used for drag racing or a show bike then its not to big. | ||

I don't hate it. Lots of really cool stuff. Just put a 190 series tire on it is all. It is a naked sport bike. If it is meant to be a drag bike, it will need a longer swingarm. One or the other and the package would make sense to me. Not clear on your rev limiter comment. | ||

And you thought mine did not have a rev-limiter?Hell, Brian let off at 177HP because he was worried about the engine staying together--it had not gotten to rev-limiter and hp curve was going up like a rocket. Still say 145 is a bit weak for a turbo 1430cc bike.A stock S-2 is supposed to put out 110-120 with the little aerocharger they hang on them. | ||

One day I will have a dd214, but still never received a bonus in 14 years. Would be nice. Its a pretty crazy looking bike, but that back tire is too big. | ||

i never in a million years thought id get a bonus but the army came up with one for reinlisting in iraq for 10,000 that isnt mos based (my job never gets bonuses) | ||

Stay safe over there. 10 k aint enough to make me go back into the army, I can tell you that... I like the bike, it's funky looking. Plus you would get some mad props on it on the streets. I've a feeling the wide tire is more for looks. | ||

I like the look of the bike, but i would rather have a bike i can ride than a show bike. A speedometer would be nice, and get rid of that rear tire. | ||

I absolutely agree, If I own a bike I am going to ride it. My harley has a big fat tire and the speedo doesn't work for $h1t, but its my cruiser. That thing isn't used to carve corners or blast straightaways. At least give me a little digital bar tach on top of the tree of the helbender, put a usable tire on the rear, and I guarantee you I would be riding it. | ||

First, you'd have to figure out where the controls are... Did anyone ever figure that out? I can imagine maybe running the throttle cables through the bars or some such thing, but where's the clutch? Okay, you don't really really need a clutch, but front brake controls would be nice, I can think of a few situations where they'd be handy... | ||

Lots of custom bikes have internal clutch setups that operate like the internal throttles..pretty strange feeling having to roll both hands in opposite directions at the same time...also the front and rear brakes can be made to work off of just the foot lever with the right perportioning(SP) valve...don't know if that is the case here... | ||

A friend of mine from Germany sent me pcitures of Hell Bender at a show a little while back.   Some other interesting pics from the same show showing some Buell influence:  An X1 front fender, with a little city cross style headlight guard.. FMJ, i'm not sure but i think it's a calculated hp number with a boost of 0,3 bar ( or 5 to 6 Psi ) so there's much more in the can, i'm surten the can get it up to 170 or something, but that will be like riding tnt, better have 911 in the predail on your phone. with the low boost i think it is only just streetable. @1313 yep i now germans are crazy, the streetfighter thing is really big over there | ||

Newblaster- I believe the clutch on this bike is a twist grip clutch, it works the exact same way the throttle works, except its a clutch. All wires are contained inside the handlebars. Makes for a pretty fly lookin ride eh? As far as brakes go, i would have made them both operable from the foot lever (as in they both work when you press the foot lever. I know their is a word for this but cant remember it.) Exile Cycles has been using the twist grip clutch for awhile now, i believe they came up with the concept.  If i had the money for a custom chopper, i would get it from exile. I love the work. A completly stripped bike, as simple as it can be, no bondo or metal flake paint, as a classic touch of old school.
