Would be nice, but this is an old rumor. Back up with some proof, or let it die. Why didn't you snatch one of the "Photo's" the dealer had? Seems strange a dealer would be privy to that kind of thing. |

Njbuell, This is a BS rumour, and I don't know why anyone would put it up other than to hurt sales of existing Buells. There is no such product in the works, nor will there be, and believe me, no one would know better than me! |

I've got you ALL beat!! I just got back from the future with a shiny, new flux capacitor reverberator v-twin. I needed something to do to the 12R this winter.

Anonymous: I am waiting for the next sport touring model. That is hurting Buell sales. I and many others in my Buell riding company would all be buying one. That would be my next new Buell. There wouldn't even be any question about it. |

An XB with a revolution motor? |

If i'm not mistaken there are a couple of dealers who STILL have NEW S3T models in their inventory waiting for those sport touring individuals to purchase them. The last one we had needed a shave and a hair cut before delivery. And yes it was very popular in 2002, both guys who bought one like it very much. |

I bought and loved my X1.when the XB9 was announced I ordered one.when it arrived it did not light my fire hp wise so i waited for the 12 and totally enjoy it but I would trade it in on the next Buell it it lights my fire.Moral of the story.Enjoy what is available today and if tomorrow something else does light your fire then buy it and enjoy it.just think of what i would have missed out on waiting for the next BIG thing in Buell. |

Hkwan, it looks like NJBuell posted something to the effect that there is a new buell in the works powered by the V-Rod engine. When he got flak for posting baseless crap, he removed his original post but the rest of the thread remained. |

Or blake removed the post. True, or not, Buell future models *SHOULD NOT* be discussed in a public forum such as this. Like Anonymous said, it hurts current Buell sales if a rumor was spread wide enough. We'd all love to hear about "future" models. But i think we'd also like to see Buell prosper so they can continue to make future models |

Unlees I'm wrong and I hope I'm not, the Revo motor won't fit in an XB frame without a ground-up redesign of the XB frame. Having said that, Harley's soon to be announced purchase of 85% of the shares of Suzuki stock may see a TL1000 type motor in a Buell yet. Hooray for Buell if it does. Bob Nah, I'm kidding. Har |

though it would be interesting to see what buell has up his sleeve, i could really care less im happy whit the xb's as they are. To me the xb platform has really started to make a name for buell. its finally a plat form that is able to run in an ama event with other manufators and it has really hit the stunt world hard. So whats so bad about them that they need to replace so soon? |

Ah, people are just getting excited... The XB is such a good bike that some people can't wait to see what's next. As for the Revo motor... It seems like such an expected progression... Here's the catch, since when does Eric do what we expect him to?? Good point on the Revo motor needing a new chassis, Ned. But it's more complicated than bolting the revo motor into the XB chassis, the handling of the bike is much more than the design of the chassis... The different engine dynamics would require a whole new chassis... |

I guess what I don't get is the rumors of "replacing" the XB. It's a great bike. Maybe Buell will add another great bike to their lineup while keeping the XBs, and have two large capacity sport bikes for sale that are very different from each other. |

True, or not, Buell future models *SHOULD NOT* be discussed in a public forum such as this. Like Anonymous said, it hurts current Buell sales if a rumor was spread wide enough. @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ That statement is 100% Crazy! I dont agree with the concept of keeping future Buell plans under wraps, because it "Hurts sales now" If someone has some credible information, spill the beans. We all hope and expect the next year of Buell to be better than the last. Just as Cars, computers, cameras, TV's etc... If there was a much better Buell coming in 12 to 24 months, If possible, I would like to know. If there is no info, that is fine also. Chevrolet had no problem letting you know the C5 was coming, or Fords 300HP new generation Mustang GT...It's all part of the Game (Message edited by gonen60 on November 28, 2004) |

yeah gonen and im sure that aprilia has no problem letting us know whats in store for the next nera because most of us cant afford a toy like that or the 300hp mustang gt. I dont know how great buells sales are but im sure they would rather not have discussions like this as even if next years buell puts out 125 hp, some people will wait. its quite possible that harley doesnt care to have to wait that long for the buell sales to come up. I am just speaking on my for part of this but its my .02 |

>>>That statement is 100% Crazy! That's inaccurate information. When you learned of the new Moustang or Chickvette the FINAL configuration had long been settled on. Let's call the term "freeze point" and define it as the point in time that any further strokes of genius will have to wait for next years model....we're going to the DOT to get this babe certified. Buell does a lot of 'sperimenting, playing and "what if'ing" this the nature of the folks at Buell. When you are doing what they do, you are deprived of the "run down the block, buy one, copy it, market it and sit back and sell it" method. It takes lots of ideas, some fail some make it. Imagine, for a moment, if I told you about a Buell test mule that CURRENTLY exists. There are a group of folks who then take it upon themselves to DEMAND Buell owes them a 300RWHP motocycle with a 49.75"WB for the street. What if, in the end, it was a fun play toy but made no sense? Following me here? When the Ford folks, just like Saab and MB who I follow closely do, announced the next generation Mustang all the testing, reliabilty, survivability and certification/homoligation testing was done. HD takes a VERY DIM view of any confidentiality breeches. I have heard of two long time veterans who had 15 minutes to have things removed from their desk and we walked to the door. Serious stuff. Yamaha knows the sportbike that they will have in 2007, give'em a call and see what response you get. Just my $0.02. |

There is no way anyone can control the flow of rumor of what's coming out for any model of cars, bikes, boat, anything in the forums. When there is smoke, there is fire - to a certain degree, the rumors do sometimes come true. I've seen many car models that even before the 1st generation came out, people were already talking about a beefed up version that they want (e.g. - Subaru WRX --> STI). I think having discussion like this in a forum is healthy. If the manufacturer is smart, they would sneak over and gather info. as suggestions and ideas. I like the long stroke, V-twin motor, sound and the vibration, as part of the Buell pkg. Putting the TL1000 motor in it would totally kill it for me. |

Come on out to SE Wisconsin early spring & keep your eyes & ears open. What you see with your own eyes will sometimes amaze you. Prototype bikes from HD/Buell, even Victory have been spotted numerous times. The V-Rod was seen near the capitol drive plant almost 2 years before it was officially announced. But you will never ever have anyone directly employed by HD who will spill the beans. Christ even when the entire world was 100% sure the XB12 was going to be released we still had "anons" 2-3 days prior to the announcement flat out denying that any such bike existed. And where did you ever get the idea Buell was thinking about the TL motor?? Never happen. |

And where did you ever get the idea Buell was thinking about the TL motor?? Never happen. Yeah, why on earth would you see a TL motor in a Buell? Great motor, but they could most likely get the same, or better performance out of a tweaked "revolution" motor. Anyone directly, OR indirectly employed by Buell would be in some serious trouble if they spilled the beans about up and coming projects. It's career suicide. I've seen parts from Buell before they've been released. Being a mold builder, positioned smack center between the HD and BMC factories, I've seen, and we've quoted on several projects, just recently in fact. Will I ever spill the beans about those projects? Nope! Heck, I was a little nervous posting some 3D images of the molds I did back in '98 for Buell. I just like doing work for HD/Buell, and would like to continue |

"...Harley's soon to be announced purchase of 85% of the shares of Suzuki stock may see a TL1000 type motor in a Buell yet. Hooray for Buell if it does...." I was just replying to Bob. ...but when people working / worked for Buell jumps up and strongly denying that any particular thing will happen to a bike, that might be a hint... }haa-haa-haa. Just joking. |
