I really want one. I want every one of my freinds to get one so we can race. I just cant get anyone else motivated to get one. there is no organized racing around Peoria IL. (without several hours of travel) and at 28 I don't want to get injured full size motocrossing, etc... other thing is it's about winter and there is nothing to do on two wheels. EXCEPT....put ice studs on a pocket bike and race on the river... that would be cool. any of you guys try them? are they worth the trouble? |

I rode a pocket bike once and it was great fun. Only problem was that it took a piece of 2x4 to get the bike removed from my arse afterwards.

LOL...my problem with most pocket-rockets (good ones, anyways) is the cost. You can get a used 'real' motorcycle for what a good one goes for. Cheapies can be had for $300-$700, but I don't think the ones I've seen in that range could take much, if any, abuse. |

I bought one for my son this past summer. It's the first birthday present that both still works and still gets played with! They are an absolute hoot. I got him an electric one - Razor brand, 24 volt, runs up to about 12-15 mph and goes for almost an hour. It's perfect - no gas to smell up the car on the way to the park. Takes riders up to 220 lbs. I have my eyes on a 36 volt model for myself that pops up on ebay and I plan on getting another for the little bro & putting some training wheels on it. The electrics can be had for just $200. Whatever you choose, get one. You won't be sorry. (Just stay off the streets ) |
