Someone tried stealing my bike last night screwing up the key hole. I snipped the wires coming out of the bottom being I am going to have to replace it anyways. But can not seem to get it fired up to where I can ride it up to the harley shop for replacement. I have touched the wires together in different orders and the fan and lights etc. come on but when I hit the starter switch everything turns off and no fire. Please help if at all possible. |

If anyone indeed knows how to do this I think it would be wise to tell you off the board. |

Your service manual should have a wiring diagram of some sort that may or may not be of any help. |

Your dealer should be able to come out and pick up the bike and bring it to the shop. Probably for free. I could be wrong, but I was under the impression that the bikes aren't supposed to be able to be started when wires to the ignition switch are cut or otherwise seriously tampered with. Mike. |

If the wires are connected in the proper fashion it will still start and run. However, without a wiring diagram in front of me I don't have a clue as to what order that is. Your local dealer may or may not have a means of picking the bike up. Many dealers do not provide that service, free or otherwise, but yours might. Just call and ask. |
