Dang, didn't notice the right side drive in that pic. Close enough though. Let me know your thoughts. I'll be able to think more clearly after next week on the matter, and more able to act on things after December 18th. Middle of January or thereabouts I'll be in Detroit for a day or more.

i've always been treated well at the apollo. even relatively racist african-american brothers dig bikes and the folks who ride 'em.
i remember one night a few years back, out on an all-nighter with the pack, we hit a nice italian-american restaurant situated nextdoor to a soul food restaurant.
i went outside after a wolfing down some prosciutto & sausage sandwiches, and found
a famous member/actor (recently retired) had slipped outside and was chatting with the old african american cook about her chitlins, which were excellent. she was so pleased to have this big angel enjoying her cooking, you would have thought they'd known each other for a hundred years. racism is where you find it, sometimes, and in NYC, it's not as common as outsiders think, esp. since caucasoids became a minority, there.
anyway, soemthing about bikes dispels much of it, in my experience. |
