I only have a coupe of before pics... After Shot... Yes, I did have the Pro Series Ceramic muffler, no I don't have it any more. Buell bought it back from me as a warrantee claim. Yes I have a different muffler now. |

Slaughter: Great to hear the "after mid life crisis story" At 36, heading for 37, I am seriously contemplating some race action in the future. What class allowed you to race the stock XB? Thanks for the great pics as well! Nick |

Hey Gearhead good luck finding a wrecked bike. I totaled my bike in late sept. Ins. company wanted 2800. Thats crazy, Swing are was waisted and frame had some real bad ans deep scratches. Header was flat as a pan cake. Engine case was cracked and right foot control was ripped off at the three bolts from the frame. Good luck! |

Ahh, the Valkyrie...AWESOME plane. Unfortunately they've got it inside a hangar now and it's impossible to get a good picture of. |

Gearhead, I ran across a wrecked '04 XB12S on ebay. I think it was up to $2400. Bidding ends sometime today. Looking at the pictures was a sad site to see. |

What's that white stuff on the ground? Glitch - we had this discussion in another thread quite recently. I believe the overall takeaways were: 1. You guys who live far enough South and far enough West to not have to deal with snow....well, you just suck 2.Those of us that live in the Northeast and other parts of the country where it snows so freakin much it makes you want to move...well, we're stuck holding our gear shifters in our hands for the next few months... disclaimer: this is a joke and is not in any way meant to offend anyone living in any cold, warm or otherwise part of the country....may the flaming begin |

Well... we had the crappiest race I have been in. I was scheduled in races 3, 6 and 9 (the 3 twins classes the Buell was legal for) - normal race day is 18 races... normally done in about 6-7 hours time. 3 hours later, we're not even starting race 3 - my first race of the day (more than a half dozen crashes and 3 oil-on-track incidents) Motors grenading with the cold and lack of warmup - taking out other riders. Cold tire crashes... by race 3 we had already had 2 ambulances roll and one transport. Race 3 we started and we had rain and SNOW on the same lap!!! (what tires would you race on??) After another couple crashes in our race, the called off the day. COLD SUCKS... crashing sucks worse. Phx_firebolt, thanks for the heads up! I'm all over Ebay, CrashedToys.com and several other "crashed" sites. There are not very many XB's or any Buells for that matter that have shown up since I started looking a few months ago. Shred is right unfortunately, for me anyway, Buells that have shown up wrecked do seem to bring top dollar compared to other bikes. I guess everyone else has the same plan!! Slaughter, thanks for your updates!! By the time I get home from work it's already dark here and cold so I guess I'll have to watch "Faster" again tonight to get my cycle fix!! Thanks guys, this is a great thread!!! |
