Curveswerver: If you're used to the blast, and have never ridden an xb,YOU WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN!!! Watch the 1-2 shift if you get on it. Mine likes to lift the front wheel with an aggressive shift. Enjoy the ride!!! tank |

I just registered, and this is my first post. I was told about this site by a VERY cool US marine in Yuma, Arizona. His username is Southern Marine(thanks for the heads up bro- way cool site... now we gotta go on a ride!) I plan on visiting this site often. |

Ok I'm a fan. No Buell yet. Ride a V-Rod. But I want a Buell too. Awesome bikes. Nice looking forum! I think I will lurk around a little bit to learn more about the bikes before I decide which one to get. Nelson http://www.fullnelson.us |

Dio, Poke around in the Knowledge Vault (KV). First time I went in there I was in for hours. It's unbelievable how much useful and relevant info is on this site. You came to the right place! If you have some interest in the tube frame Buells, check out the Old School Buell section as well! Good luck & have fun! |

I'm brand new to motorcycling, let alone Buell! I bought a new Midnight Black '04 XB12S on Nov. 1st, and the smile hasn't left my face - I'm 46 and this is my very first bike! I've been coveting Buells for a long time, though... I "almost" bought a bike several times in my early 20's. A good friend owned several motorcycle dealerships in OKC (Maxey's H-D, and Maxey's Honda/Yamaha), and he let me "test drive" a brand new Harley-Davidson XLCR "Cafe Racer" for several hours - I was hooked. But, I got married and started a family about then (1979). Although I toyed with the idea of owning a bike, the timing was never right with little kids and money being tight, so I never achieved the dream. This past summer, I had the opportunity to ride a friend's original VRSC "V-Rod" and I was hooked all over again! But my daughter was getting married and my 25th wedding anniversary was coming up in the fall, so I didn't dare spend the money. Again, my dreams were thwarted. Well, Kristin got married and moved to Albuquerque, and I got my wife a FREAKIN' HUGE diamond anniversary ring AND took her on a 10-night cruise to Hawaii for our second honeymoon. And I finally just said, "Screw it!" and bought the Lightning for me! And now the smile won't leave. |

Marc -- most here have/had multiple brands, so the only reason you'd catch any grief is cuz you are clearly having way too much fun! welcome -- great folks here, and most anything you need to know, you can learn from someone who's been there/done that!! |
