(stainless siphon tube milk pressure vessle to be filled with air over water) Is that really for milk, most of those kegs were used for Pepsi or Coke Syrup, at fast food restaurants, until they came up with the box system, but i am sure they were used for other things, i think i have about 12 i used for beer dispensing when i used to homebrew R |

Roger, I have a bunch of them too for homebrew. I used them along with a counter-pressure bottling system. Can I come over to your house to play??? Nice stuff in there!!! |

P0p0k0pf, I used to hang out at the Tinker's guild pretty regular. I used to make mostly paintball related stuff. Some of that is hosted on a freinds site below. I made a lot of sherridan stuff. My most famous is the lever action pgp pistol conversion, and the S&W k frame'd pmi1 http://www.spaceman613.net/machining/machining.htm the pressure vessels? my father in law bought an old dairy. they were inside. I suspect they may have been used for some milk processing chemicals? I don't know. we use them for running wayer when were camping. they hold 80psi. |

Dan, what a great basement! If I lived anywhere near you, you'd be throwing me out of there regularly. You may have a problem with Bomber, though--he DOES live near you! rt |

I've got an idea. When the peoria TT races are in town I'll invite all you buellers to camp and have a bonfire on my 4 acres in east peoria. |

Dsergison, You do some good work, considering you're doing it the "old school" way(AKA, No CNC) I'm too lazy these days to do stuff the manual way |

Very creative !! and a nice shop too ! , it seems there are a few of us with home based machine shops and a need to design / build our own parts . Would it be appropriate to start a thread discussing such ideas , showing pics , so we may share ideas ? , or might we be be accused of being hucksters , looking to make a quick buck . |

so long as we simply show what we've done, there will be no hucksterism accusations -- me, I'd LOVE some more ideas! |

Oh, Yeah! sweet. I am noticing my license plate is about to crack in two. mines just got two screws through it into the cast tail light support that was left under the plastic. must make some sort of bracket this winter. I really like the tie down points you added. |

what did you do that aluminum cuting with, a cnc? or did you saw it out by hand? I've had good luck with a quality jigsaw running hollow ground wood blades and lubricating the whole mess. bandsaw would be optimal. |

Hoser, that's an excellent idea. Make a section/threads that show off your "home built" parts. But stuff I make isn't really "home built", but my shop is 4 miles away, does that count? |

that looks like a very FAST press you got there. would that be a tool grinder next to the saw? |

Steve : as long as you made it yourself ! Dan : The press is slow ( needs a makover ) , decals are for visual imact only . Thats a Sioux valve refacer , the seat grinder is below in the grey chest.Ilike the X1 in your profile , I did a once over on a red / race stripe X1 a few years ago , we disassembled it to powdercoat the frame white , installed rearsets , later did a brembo dual disc conversion ( I've done several ) , it's real nice , I'll try to find the pic's later , right now I gotta go rake leaves in my yard { damn ). |

Koz5150, Nice blasted graphics... I tried that once with my primary cover. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v203/dsergison/calvin.jpg I think I did not get enough contrast, but it's stil cool. I woule even put it on, if I could find it! Leaves? he he. you need ANOTHER PROJECT! I made this 2 years ago. (after burning my rider to the ground trying to just mow the leaves into a pile) It's a frankenstonian leaf & g-hog eater. http://www.hobartwelders.com/mboard/showthread.php?t=3038&highlight=acres+leaves (Message edited by dsergison on November 17, 2004) |

Dan : Here's that X1 , like I said it has had the frame powdercoated white , in addition , the heads are ported , crossroads rearsets and handlebars too . Later it received the dual Brembo conversion , unfortunately I have no pics of that , it's easily done with available boltons. |
