On any other day, I'd say that we are all of us veterans of one thing and another -- and that's true. Today, however, I'd like to pass my heartfelt thanks to thoise who've served in the military -- no matter what the cause, you stood on the wall and protected your homes, loved ones, and your country. Thanks to all veterans everywhere, no matter which country, and special thoughts for those serving under arms today -- stay safe, and come home soonest -- we need you here, as you represent the finest a nation has to offer! |

Thank you! ...now can someone explain to me why we have next Monday off (Hunting Day) and not Veteran's Day? No offense to you shooters, but I think the V's a tad bit more important...fricking union... |

We're on holiday here in France today, it's Armistice day, end of WW I for those who are wondering. And I can assure our colonial cousins that most French people have a deep gratitude & respect for the Allied forces that helped liberate them twice in the last century. |

I almost hate to admit this, being a former marine and all but, after seeing all the birthday wishes for my Marine Corps yesterday and the support for both veterans and active duty today on the badweb, I got a little teary eyed. Thanks, I am proud to have served. Semper Fi! |
