Check our Links to stuff you can't find here section in this KV - the British http://www.toolparts.co.uk/acatalog/Front_Lights.html, has your light set up at the best price, the rest of the questions become of what type - handlebars - superbike or clubmans, or clip ons or adjustable handlebars and clipons, mirrors - bar end or just something to replace the mickeymouse ears style - check that links section well - Chaperal sells inexpensive superbike handlebars (you'll need grips as well) and 3rd eye barends can be found in any motorcycle/bicycle shop at an inexpensive price and work very well! Welcome! Enjoy your time here and your ride! GT - JBOTDS! EZ |

I got to thinking... and I thought of some questions! (big surprise, huh?) Machinist, I'm with you. I'm in the middle of customizing my Blast and thought XBxS lights would look really good. Anybody have the part numbers for the headlight assembly, and handlebars too. Would they bolt right on? Can't be too tough. Working on chopping off the passenger pegs and making a single seat out of the stock couch. I'll post pictures eventually. |

Yahoo-Buell-XB files (Yahoo XB dedicated website) has a downloadable parts list. I'm guessing that the XBxS lights are the same but with the grill cover added. I'm also guessing that they will be more expensive than the Brymar lights (see links) but I could be wrong. Handlebars should bolt right on but probably expensive too! |

I have the XB9s bar on my Blast and I paid $46 from my local Buell dealer. I also have the Brymar Dominator lights and they look great. It looks like a mini XB9. I took the decal off the tank and replaced it with this on both sides. Here's a Firebolt with the same decals:

Thanks guys! Blaster_s: Do those headlights just bolt on? Did you have to make a bracket? How was shipping those Brymar lights from across the pond? Expensive? Thanks again and keep blasting! |

The lights were $150 plus $25 shipping. I had to cut the stock wires to connect but it was easy. I ordered the headlight brackets for a single headlight, because I couldn't get the stock brackets to fit the lights. I will send pix ASAP. |

Yeah but I didn't like the plastic case around those. I like the "Triumph Triple" look. |

I found some interesting fog lights at the auto-parts store I think I'm gonna try. As for bars, Chaparral has bars for $13! Isn't that kinda cheap? Are those the clubmans that I've heard about? Oh, XB9S headlights on Ebay... Busy learning how to reupholster my seat... |

I was looking at fog lights the other day, wondering how they would work, but i didnt know how they would hook up or if my bike could power them both at once so i held off on buying them. Let me know how it works out if you do that. |

Yes, thats a righteous sticker, let me know if you can get one and how much. I probably wont go very high on the XB lights as I already have the Brymars (got tired of waiting) but I'll be watching! |

Check the links section (or see post near top of page). I checked mine and they dont come with any kind of instructions or brand label so I would order them from the UK. |

I found the Brymar lights were a direct connect for the stock headlamp plug. Only the extra 2 'parking light' wires needed to be wired in, if desired. |

I'm out in the garage installing the Dominator and I noticed that the headlamp securing screws (going through the bracket into the headlamp) from the OEM unit are a little tight when I tried to put them in the Dominator. Will I wreck anything if I force it? Is it a completely different size? If so, does anyone remember what size? Any help appreciated. |

Yes, they are different threads (metric & english). If you force them the worst that will happen is you will strip and dislodge the threaded pieces in the headlights (thats bad). They are a relatively delicate set up, so unnecessary wrenching and twisting will wreck them. Find a local industrial hardware store. They will carry all kinds of bolts and washers at a reasonable price. (I used rubber washers-cuts down on the amount of torque needed to keep them tight, absorbs vibration and avoids scratches.) |

PS to anyone interested. J P Cycles (website available)also carries the dominator light setup. |

Thanks for the advice Erik. Turns out they're M8-1.25 threads, in case anyone else has my problem. Hopefully save somebody else a few minutes digging through Lowe's hardware selection. |
