Hey guys... wanted to say thanks again from my wife and I for all the well wishes. It looks like I'll be bringing her back to Vegas on Friday night! They have diagnosed her with Fibro Myalgia, as well as some mineral deficiencies with her blood that some supplemnets seem to be taking care of. At least now we have a name for what has been screwing her up! She is much better today and says that she feels the best that she has in months. I will have to get earplugs now! Just ran up Mt. Lemmon for the first time with the new Jardine. Man is that thing loud. Lots of pops and crackles too! I think I scared some folks in their cars. I love it! Scrubbed the new rear a bit too. Kobie, you're right. I need to be riding up and down that road every chance I get. Can't wait to do it again... | ||

Whatever time you guys want to meet. I don't care. Nothing too early. Maybe 9am? Callahans? You guys want to do breakfast where we met for TQfest 2? What was the name of that place...you know the Mexican place on the way to Globe....hmmm. Good food! I think that might be a good place for Al to meet us at. Brian, Anyone living in Tucson that doesn't ride that mountain whenever possible is either stupid or not serious about sportbiking. I recommend custom , poured in type earplugs. Very comfortable. | ||

I agree with Kobe, the restaurant/bar in Superior, Los Hermanos, is a good place to meet the tucson crowd. We can chow down, and then go from there. I'll meet you guys at Callahans at 0900 hrs. That'll put us in Superior by 1100. belookin, you going to meet us in Superior? You can bring Dropnstyle along to meet everyone. I think Brian is with the family this weekend. | ||

Dropnsyle-if you can make it, I'll see you at the above address at 9:00 or a couple of minutes earlier. We have some construction to go thru by Winkleman that might take us a little longer-so maybe if you get there 15 minutes earlier-that would be great. Bart: Thanks for the well wishes! I brought her home last night and she feel quite a bit better. They have been giving her massive doses of potassium (supposedly her body was almost depleted of it) This , according to the docs,will also relieve some of the muscle pain and tiredness. She has had me running back and forth to the closet all day with clothes, shoes and boots seeing what fits and all. She has even hinted to trying to ride the back of the Xb in a week or so! Thanks again to everyone for all the prayers, and thoughts. I am one that truly believes in the power of positive thoughts and energy, and it seems to have made a difference in all of this. Nick | ||

So how was the film Brian? My daughter wants to see it is why I am asking. Anyways it was a great ride. The only Buell in the group but it had no problems keeping up Lots of nice mellow canyon run. Finally got to the edges on those Conti's and it didn't take long to get my confidence back into the bike and myself even after the lay down. Al, Kobe and Rich, it was a blast and I thank you guys, it wasn't just the ride but the riders that made it worth it. Vegas, Glad to hear she is at home and taking it in stride. She is in my thoughts as well and like I said I do look forward to you guys being able to either make it down here for an enjoyable ride or we can make it up there for some fun. | ||

On a seperate note, we bounced around the idea of doing a Springfast ride with the Oktoberfasters and thinking April or very early May would be a good time frame to shoot for. Try to set up at teh Rode Inn again as you guys did for the Springerville run. Los Hermanos has a ballroom upstairs and can cater food if we wanted to do a Salt River run with a catered lunch at Los Hermanos. Anyways I will start a thread under stormfronts under the title of SpringFast 2005 . | ||

Wycked, Kobie, Rick, Had a good time today. Rick and I got rained on twice after leaving Globe heading for Tucson. We were passing a truck in the rain when a deer ran out in front of us. We tightened up momentarily. Other than that - it was a pleasant ride home! Thanks for the good time Guys! Let's do it again, Soon!  Bart-Sorry you missed the ride. Next time. Wycked-I sent the pics of todays ride to Brian to have him upload them to the BBS. Hopefully he'll pick up his mail soon. As far as the Venison-we missed hitting the thing-thankfully! I'm going to try and get new tires put on tomorrow,so I'll be able to "scoot" again next week-end. The Globe/Salt ride is fun. I'd do it again next week-end if you're up for it or anyone else out there does'nt mind getting a little "chilled" on the week-end. |
