The Buell tank bag works pretty good. It does get a little loose with use but no biggie. Retail is 149.95 Badweb price is 134.96 I have 2 in stock. Easy on, easy off, expandable, has a map pocket on top. I've had one all summer and like it. Dave |

Ill keep that in mind dave. Has anybody used the Icon urban tank bag. I know its magnetic, but could always glue some thick metal washers or something inside the cover. |

On my tank bag, I cut the rear strap and fed it through the buckle. That way I can tighten it. |

I have the Tourmaster Cortech bag with the strap base. Its two seperate bags a smaller and a larger that can be zipped together. Its been a perfect bag for me and has logged tons of miles. See profile pic for the larger bag in place. |

I just got the Tourmaster Cortech bag. I could use some advise on installing it. Meaning where would the best places to tie the straps to the frame etc. |

Bill I run then under the fairing support, but that is with the firebolt front. Charlieboy out of Yuma has them tucked under the outer airbox cover so the retaining bolts hold them tensioned. |

"Ill keep that in mind dave. Has anybody used the Icon urban tank bag. I know its magnetic, but could always glue some thick metal washers or something inside the cover." My solution was to pillage some magnets out of some old IDE hard drives. The nice thing about them is they are VERY strong magnets and they are shielded on one side... Yeah... one sided magnets... I have no idea how they do that. I don't even have to glue them. When I want to make a run with my tank bag I just remove the air box cover and install the tankbag with the six HDD magnets. It holds VERY well. I just re-install the cover with the tank bag on it. Works great and I don't have to worry about anything coming loose and dropping through the frame and maybe waxing one of my riding buddies. When I'm not using the tank bag the magnets aren't there. I would imagine you could take three old HDD's off of some computer shops hands for free. I found that the seagate magnets are the best suited. The only drawback to the Western Digital's is that you have to do some grinding on the monting plate. That's fairly difficult with such strong magnets . |

That sounds like a really good idea M1, Ill have to look into that. After looking at the features and stuff i think im going ot order the icon bag. The site said and shows that it has a cradle to put your helmet in and shoulder straps for use when you take it off the bike. |

Yea ill def. let you know. Of course as my luck would have it i ordered the bag head out the door and managed to low side the bike, but very minor damage to me and the bike, i got just a small scrape on my knee and some scuffed leather. As for the bike, i scuff the brake lever and pedal and my bar end mirror pretty bad, but thats about the extent of the damage that was done on the ground side, However the gaurd rail the bike got caught under put a nice rip in my corbin. They want 165 to recover it. Seems a little steep to me what does everyone else think. Other than the mirror and the seat the other parts will be changed by tonight so its not to bad. |

I'm a cheap bastage. I made my own using 1000 denier Cordura. There's pics of it around here somewhere. Bob |

Stainless, my dad is a motor trimmer, and he would recover your seat for half that in AUD. Meaning, that is a rip off price. Here's what you do, find a reputable motor trimmer (they cover car seats), get them to remove your corbin tag from your old seat and have them make a replacement using the torn one as a pattern. It'll look like a genuine and cost a bunch less. |

I could really care less if it looks genuine as long as it looks good and is of good quality |

Dont' contact Corbin regarding anything that would require actual customer service. A local upholstery shop, as others have suggested, will do a fine job for a fraction of the price. Henrik |
