So Blake doesn't have to count the votes for the war or political threads manually .. |

OK- This is not e x a c t l y a suggestion, then perhaps it is by way of introduction- I just registered here a couple days ago, because I cyber-met blake over on American Thunderbike- Blake was spreading his political views, and I was being reactively antisocial and rude in my arguments against his points. I think anyone else would have gone digitally ballistic on me or just left the forum indefinitely. Blake did neither- he gave it a couple days cooling off, then he came back and gave a condensed reason for his political posting on ATC's forum (we keep it light and very funny there), said some very insightful things about dialectic exchange in general and ended that post with a hilarious anecdote that was somehow transcendently self-effacing. The man showed class and grace. I realized that even though our views on the present administration and the war couldn't be more diametrically opposed, we're the same in that we both really dig these HD-powered Sportbikes, and we both feel very passionately for our country, and want only the best for it. I decided to hang out on this site asap, having heard plenty of good things about you all, and if Dyna liked spending some time here, I'm sure I would as well. So, I guess my suggestion is for everyone who gets POed about Blake's heavy-handed dispersal of his political viewpoint(I know I did)- just avoid that topic, those threads and stick with the Buell-topical. Remember that regardless of which candidate a person likes, noone here is intentionally voting to screw America up.I assume We all want the best for our country and our world, and there are so many things that we have in common, we Buellers, that we should revel in our differences and move on. No matter which candidate gets in, Buell is NOT bringing back tubers or making a new touring model. "That's life, Joe, what can I tell ya?" -William Parrish (Anthony Hopkins) 'Meet Joe Black' |

Tramp (Jay), No way. Ain't gonna happen. Nice try, but you won't get away with it. I refuse. I recognize your obvious and underhanded intent and your diabolically insidious attempt to reform me. I think even my own mother would take issue with your generous characterization. Welcome. Welcome and thank you for the |

>>>Buell is NOT bringing back tubers or making a new touring model. I'd be interested, if you can share, in hearing your reasons for the above. I'm neither agreeing or disagreeing, but am less emphatic about taking such a "no way" stance. Welcome and it's good to hear that ATC is still alive and kicking. Blake is trouble wherever he goes...everytime we send him away, someone sends him right back to us! Court |

Court - I can't speak for Tramp, but I would also be supprised if Buell made a new touring bike. Or perhaps I should say it like this. Buell already makes a touring bike, they are just called Harley-Davidsons. They make piles of money selling them, they have great margins, and extrodinarily loyal customers. Why would they want to do something that might screw that up? |

court- thanks for the welcome- i have no 'inside track' on that statement i digitally blurted, i just don't see it happening (touring models, tubers), and i would absolutely love to be wrong. where are you in the city? you'll have to come to some runs. yep, i'm sure blake gets sent right back to youze guys, but i have a feeling that he brings new faces to this board whenever he comes home from these recruiting ops- hell- look at me and blake, thank you for the welcome- nice digs over here! |

Tramp: I agree that, at present, it makes zero sense for Buell to take the next stab at the Sport-Touring market. Harley-Davidson, short of perhaps any lingering remnants of the FXRT, has nothing even remotely close. I used to love "touring" on my FLHTC but it was nothing like the 4 states I've taken the Buell to. Smack dab in the middle of town....Blake, Henrik, Aaron, FMJH and a couple of us were haunting midtwon a couple weeks ago. Ride safe, Court |

Blake- I like the new classified format, seems much more organized and easy to browse. I just thought I would say so because I remember you saying it was on a trial basis, and I would like it to stay this way. (My 2 cents). Thanks. |

I was trying to find a link to Drummer site and had to wait until it came around on the banner rotation [and I noticed it]. Shouldn't there be a link in the sponsor section if they are a sponsor? My apologies in advance if I've ventured into something inappropriate here... |

Seeing as we're off topic, oh let me troll. Buell couldn't build a sports tourer using their current motor. It ain't powerful enough to haul two fat Yanks and a trailer tent! Rocket |

I'd really like the sponsors to put up their own links within their sponsor topic pages. |

I also just fixed the classifieds so that new threads go to the top. Good call on that. |

Why not make the banners in the sponsor section linked to their website, like the rotating banners on the top of the page? |

They are part of the title and if linked to the sponsor site would prevent access to the discussion thread section for each sponsor. |
