No helmet = squid or loser??? Gee, that's a new twist. Is a statement of freedom and responsibility for your own actions. Then again, Dyna and I are a lot alike. We almost always wear helmets on our sport bikes but very seldom when riding our cruisers. Go figure...LOL Regardless of who won the election, let's all work with our respective parties so that they can become stronger and address America's real problems. I for one am sick and tired of voting for the lesser of two evils. Additionally, I am very proud of the way Kerry handled the election. He proved he is a Gentleman and both parties can stand to learn from it. |

"Then again, Dyna and I are a lot alike. We almost always wear helmets on our sport bikes but very seldom when riding our cruisers. Go figure...LOL" Ditto. Tried for weeks and just couldn't do it, part of the reason I got rid of the softtail. (The main one was cause it handled a lot like a curling stone on a dirt road.) |

Crash...Curling Stone on a Dirt Road? Now, that's funny. Incidentally, let me beat Dyna to the punch. The first time I met him in person was at the Fall Slimey Crud run a few years ago. He and Dee were on the Wide Glide as his Buell had just grenaded a few weeks earlier. To this day, he is very glad he stood firm and made Dee wear a helmet on that ride as they went down in a tank slapper on the way home. That is the reason I said "almost always" in my post. In my case, I just putt on my cruisers. The inverse is I ride aggressively on my sport bikes and wouldn't consider leaving the neighborhood without my helmet. Lastly, I will sell my cruiser if and when Wisconsin passes a helmet law. Did the same when I lived in California and will do it again. In the event that neither Buell or Harley has a two up sport touring bike in their line when that happens, I will be forced to sell both and buy a different brand just like last time. |
