I have heard on this site that the XB in Formula racing uses a fuel bladder for increased range. Is this correct and if so, does anyone have a picture of one? |

I have a picture of it at work... I know it's posted on the site somewhere as well. If someone can remember the name of the thread where we all posted our pics, they could point you in the right direction. As I recall Jose Quinones took the picture. They use a small tank where the "trunk" would have been, and they have capped the hole through the tank where the snorkel used to be. Once a person is using something like the FAST system, they could cap the tank. I don't know if they cut the entire cylinder out that runs through the tank or if they just drilled holes in the top and bottom of it. I would guess that this gives them right around 3/4 of a gallon more fuel. |

M1 that tank in the trunk turned out to be a breather system not a fuel bladder as was guessed. They did cut the metal around what would be the snorkel area, capped that off and made it part of the tank. |

how much does the snorkel hole hold? might be an idea for additional fuel capacity on a street bike. is the tank lined or raw aluminum inside?? |

The tank is lined inside. Rough guess would probably be 1/3-1/2 gallon. |
