http://www.geocities.com/buell_racing/muffler.html Has anyone tried this exhaust mod? Does it really work? I`m considering trying it on my XB9S. I know i should just buy a real muffler but i`m cheap! |

You may want to ask Brian at Tilley's if this will make it impossible to convert your can to a drummer... |

What ever happened to the Latus Muffler? I never hear anything about it anymore? Does anyone run one on their Buell? |

I works as good as a straight pipe can work. which in my eyes for a sport bike is pretty much crazy. can't say for sure how it works never dynoe'd it. a buddy of mine did it and I rode it seat of the pants says it lost some stuff antil about 4500 rpm. sound wise made me think of playing cards in the spokes of my schwinn BTW doesn't affect it if you decide to go with the drummer edited by buckinfubba on January 05, 2004 |

I modded my pipe but not like the way they did in the link shown. I just cut a small 1 inch square section out of the rear cross pipe (inside the can), then welded up the can. It sounds much better, not nearly as loud as the Latus or a straight pipe. I did not feel any difference in low end. I haven't had a chance to get my bike back on the dyno to see the effect yet. |

Thanks for the help. I think i`m just gonna buy a pipe as opposed to hacking up my exhaust. |

My XB9R wears a Latus, sounds and runs great! Added a PCIII Powercommander that cleaned up the richness between 2-4K RPM - I'm real happy with this combination. Using the stock ECM also. |

I've had a Latus on mine for a while with StageIII Nallins heads and a stock headpipe for about 5000 miles and loved it! Sounds great works good! When I put the Force pipe on I lent the Latus to a buddy who put it on a bone stock 9S and he swears by it...or did until the Force broke and I reclaimed it! Now it is back on my 9R with the XB12 headpipe but I haven't put it back on the dyno so I couldn't say how much power I've lost from the switch! |

Does anyone else sell the HSA exhaust? Looks pretty cool! Also, does anyone know where to get a carbon fiber exhaust can for the XB12S? Thanks. -Todd |
