Char, Wonderful pix! If it has gotten any prettier in the last two weeks, you have captured it on film. Denise |

Geez, Denise...that's pretty much a dual-sport road FB took you on. Is he trying to talk you into becoming a Stromer. |

Well Dino, FB DID ask, not once, and probably more than twice if I really wanted to take that road -- seems I was forgetting just how gnarly A** it was as the last trip was on the back seat with a rider who made it absolutely effortless. Yepper, found out my thumper still tics and yessir, I would take it again.... a 650 Vstomper would be about perfect. |

Denise...from what Char says, sounds like that road is more appropriate for a KLR. So, a bra goes on the front of a car...would that be panties in the pic above?...maybe a Dodge Diaper? Never mind... |

Dino, we're darned close to jumping the shark... this is a shot of/from Santa Rosa Creek Rd., taken on the way back from Laguna in last July: you'll have to try to imagine the same scene with a pretty serious marine layer rolling in to get the right feel for the conditions last Saturday. |

Hey guys, I'm glad to see Oktoberfast was a great success. As much as I wanted to be there (I know we talked about it Ferris), I had to keep my options open. As it turned out I had a very important duty to fill and did a little riding of my own. Thanks for sharing the pics and descriptions everyone. A vicarious adventure is better than no adventure at all. Timbo |

Hi all Oktober Fasters, Just cruzzin through all the great posts from our fantastic adventure and reliving the fun. It couldn't have been such a huge sucess if it weren't for all the really GREAT people. I want to thank everyone in that diverse group for welcoming me into the "Family". I had meet some of you at Laguna Seca and the rest at the ThunderDome and hope to see you all again next year at the next OktoberFast and of course at the BIG Race at Laguna Seca. Where I met some of my new found friends after the maiden ride from Ebears to Laguna Seca Every road is an adventure and there is no such thing as a "Wrong turn" when you end up on a twisty like this. Lets do it again next year. Its only a small detour. My other passion is Harley Hummers, made from 1948 to 1966, this is one of my "Race Bikes" 1965 175 with "Puckett" race components. Truley a "Baby Buell" Guess who I stold the leathers from? |

Tbear, In addition to what Jerry advises... Thanks Jerry! ... You might want to save a copy of your text before deleting the post. Then when reposting, try using the \image{Pic description here} formatting tag instead of the "Upload Attachment..." button. It also appears as though your files have an added suffix of ".lnk" in their file names. |

Unibear: you're right. (and see you tonight.) Tripper: what's REALLY sad is how seriously depleted the beer display is in Ebear's "living room" shots above. (and me 'n D 'n Unibear aim to make the situation even worse while we're BBQ'n steaks later tonight...) Dino: you've got more dirt EVERYwhere! (ps: watch your mailbox...) thanks for the pix, Ebear! |

Tripper, you should have seen the look on my face when I saw how much shock oil I leaked over the infamous driveway and garage of the Thunderdome. Ferris did not bat an eye and teased me when I found a wire brush to try and clean it. I was mortified. |

Hey Sandblast, Don't feel to bad, I was sure to dump almost as much oil on the other side of the driveway too. Despite it all, these dear bikes are still Harleys and everyone I get on has to bond with me and either "Mark it's spot" or Gush all over me. (Ash Ebear about this sometime. I can't beleive he even lets me near his bikes;> And Ebear.......was that comment about sitting around the campfire in oktober AAAHHHH California some kinda jab cause a couple days after I got home I awoke to 3 inches of SNOW?? Anyway you all probably got a good laugh at my post that the pictures didn't come out. Gimmie a Break, I am still trying to figure out these here darn Commie-Puter thingies. Anyway, I am going to try again......... To all my Oktoberfast Buddys, Thanks for the great riding and the warm welcome into the "Family" I had met some of ya at Laguna Seca and the rest of you at the Home Base of the ThunderDome. This is where I met some of my new found freinds after the Maiden Ride on my new V-Rod from Ebears to Laguna Seca. Every road is an adventure and as I found, there is no such thing as a wrong turn when you end up on a twisty like this. Even though some wondered where the He*# I went When I am not riding Buell's or my V-Rod or my 1968 FLH, I am persueing my other passion of Harley Hummers. Made from 1948 to 1966, this is one of my "Race Bikes" a 1965 175 with Puckett race components. Truly a Baby Buell almost 2 decades before the first Buell. (Guess who I stole the leathers from? ;> |

trust me, the driveway and garage has seen worse than a little wayward hydraulic crude - mortification is not required here at the ThunderDome. |

Hey, TBear...cool pics. I like the Hummer...stick some lights on it and bring it to Oktoberfast next year! How's the weather treating you in Colorado these days. Is the V-Rod put away for the winter? |
