Stealth, call Odie. The 12 keeps the valve on what he does. Blaster, don't worry. B_S, I'll call you when I get to the house. |

Part 2: The review: On the way home I took the interstate. I no longer think the OES is louder than the Race can. I know it. Ear plugs from now on, especialy when in the mountains. Spins up much faster! No more car alarms in the parking garage than usual. I'll be riding it all week, so by the end of the week I should have a good feeling as to how the long term will be. As of right now, she's a keeper! I'm meeting B_S at SMHD at 7:30ish, so he can hear it. |

Let me know what Cameron says about the price of a 12 pipe if he has one. I just got a PM offer for $50 from my classified section post. |

For all interested (ya'll know who you are!) this is a pic of the 12 pipe with the dual outlets. Works real well on a 12 but don't know what it do on a 9 as far as a little less back pressure. It sounds "meaner" and a little less like a Sporty when the rpms get up. Later....Odie |

Glitch: What kind of boots did you get? I gotta take mine back anyway. They're aren't very flexible and I can't shift w/o looking down. How much were they? (Message edited by blaster_s on October 18, 2004) |

I'll answer that. Wolverine makes them and they are black with a Battle Blue Buell logo on the side. Cameron at SMHD/Buell has 10 pair in stock starting at size 8. They zip up the inside and velcro over that. They are very sharp and if my boots weren't new I'd buy a pair tomorrow. $145 by the way |

Blaster, these are stiff too. But I'm sure they'll break in some. Not sure if these are comfortable for anything other than biking. Check 'em out though, I tried mine on, the fit's good. They'll be a great replacement for my Joe Rockets, I've worn those out in a year and a half. The Buell boots look to be better made than my JRs also. B_S, that ride was less than a tease, I just wanted to stay out and play. Roster, let me know when you're in town. Nuthin' like a bunch of Buells to ride around with. If you're here during the week, Thursday is the Bike Night at the Vortex, LOTS of bikes. If it's on the weekend, we got a big back yard with all kinds of crooked roads. Odie, you gotta come too. We HAVE to meet the guy that knows how to package $#!T eatin' grins! All, looks like Sunday will be the day for a mountain assault. Who's in? |

Thanks Stealth, it performs real well and sounds sweet! Glitch- we have to come some weekend for sure and hit the mountains with ya'll. Steve and I could trailer up and maybe another guy or two and stay for a day. It's just a matter of timing and the weather turning colder now. I'm really after a track day sometime. There's enough to do in Atlanta for the wife and kids to do whatever thru the day while we're riding and then stay overnight. Time, time, time...just not enough of it. If enough people wanted some pipes I could deliver them AND go riding! |
