I have hear negative things about those pieces. Very expensive, very heavy and it requires "professional" installation. WHatever that means. I saw them on ebay and I heard that they don't fit well. |

Who said that? Give names man....! Otherwise it could be competition trying to give them a bad reputation from rumors and gossip. I too have heard people say "I heard this or that" but haven't seen anyone with the proof of them on their cycle. I want photo proof~ |

It was actually discussed here recently. The parts were on eBay at one time. I don't recall the outcome, if any. |

Tr9....They are listed on ebay constantly for $2500.00 for a set. There are never any bids and if you look closely at he pics you will notice that they aren't even solid carbon. The black on the inside is the plastic that the "carbon" is layed-up over the top making them heavy and not fit right. MOre than likely, the carbon isn'r real carbon. Just a sticker aplication with a clearcoat (acrylic) over the top. Look real close at the screw holes and mounting points. Kinda pricey for something that is not good quality.....don't a think? IIRC, those are the pieces Roc made originally. On Ebay this last time they belonged to a company in Singapore. Same pictures. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/32777/58304.html |

Those pictures look remarkably like the bodywork Roc commissioned someone to make for him.... Later on that company gave Roc lots of trouble, didn't return the molds he paid them to make for him etc. Later again they started "selling" these pieces, using pictures Roc took to advertise them. The pieces you see in the pictures are in Roc's possession and those are Roc's pictures. Not necessarily the kind of outfit I would deal with. Henrik |

I am certain that is another piece of bodywork I had made. I ordered two complete sets made, after having the molds made, and an incomplete set in natural Kevlar color. The only piece I know of that has not been in my position is the pictured tail section. If anyone can give me any other information regarding the R1 in the pictures, what country has a license like that in the wind screen for instance, I would appreciate it. I know the ebay auction photos, all of them so far as I can tell, were taken in Thailand. I doubt I have any recourse in the matter but I would like to know the truth about it all. I know of at least 4 parties that have been involved in this fiasco and I would like to know more about any sales activity they pursue regarding parts I paid to have made. Ingemar - I think it looks nice too.

Roc, you might be able to get Yahoo to give you information about the IP address that is logged in association with usage of the email account. The company hosting the photos might do the same thing. If you can get the IP address, it might be possible to pin them down to an area of a country. Depending on the country, it might be possible to get the actual owner of the account. Ebay would be another good source for hunting fraud. It will be a painful process, but it is not impossible. Yahoo et. al. won't just roll over and give them to you, but if you have a lawyer or some sort of law enforcement official willing to make some calls or send some emails, it can be gotten. It's possible for them to hide their real location, but it is a PITA, so unless you are a professional cyber bad guy, most crooks don't bother. Alledging fraud might be enough to get the people suppling this group with... well, any internet presence, to pull the account. So if you want to just make sure they have no public forum, you can keep finding them and getting their hosting pulled. Send a professionally worded letter, as short as possible but with relevant traceable details, to the people hosting any aspect of their service. Hosting photos, hosting auctions, handling their email, etc. Write something along the following lines.
quote: My name is xxx xxxx and I had a business arrangement with company yyy yyyy to produce carbon fibre motorcycle components. Company yyy yyyy violated multiple aspects of our contractural arrangement, and judgement was rendered against them on (date) in (court with contact information). This judgement has not been satisfied, and the products being represented as being for sale on your site may not be legally offered, as they are part of the judgement in my favor. There is an ongoing legal prosecution in this matter. Please forward me any and all contact information you may have regarding this individual, including IP addresses and time stamps, and please pull the hosting for this individual immediately.
Depends on how much time and energy you want to fuss with. They may or may not give you anything, or may or may not pull the hosting, but you might get some good results. If you can get an LEO representitive to send it, so much the better. |

Mike from the Xcite company contacted me a while back. Basically he asked me to help him after he read the negative posts here on badweb. I have advised Mike several times on what I believe would be the right thing to do. So far to no avail. Both Roc and Badweb custodians were informed about what has been going on. Here is my last message to Mike, posted originally on Buelletinboard. I hope he will read it either here or there:
quote:Mike, I hope you read this in time. The clock is ticking. As you have undoubtly noticed there is much sceptisism about the products you are selling. The buell community is small and the word goes around very quickly. Someone got ripped off and you are now trying to sell something that this person has put a lot of time, effort and money into. You MUST understand the concern and critique you are getting. It is justified. You asked me to help you and I have. In good faith I have stuck out my head for you in risk of loosing it. I have pursuaded many people to hang on, giving you a chance to speak out for yourself. Twice I have exhorted you to contact Rocky personally. From my point of view this is what you have done so far: You have NOT contacted Rocky to resolve the issue; You have NOT posted here to defend your case; You have NOT posted on badweb to defend your case; I asked you for "proof" in the form of new photo's you had talked about but I have seen none; Honestly I'm beginning to wonder if you really want to sell your products. I think I speak for most in the community when I say I expect you to step up and defend your case. After all, you have nothing to hide and want to sell your product, right? Well, you haven't done that so far, so you must understand that sceptisism is growing and many will begin to believe you do have something to hide and your dealings are not as fair as you claim they are. Let me ask you this Mike: Do you think you will find a market in such a small community of buell fanatics that are sceptic about your product and the way you deal? Some even think you are the one who ripped off Rocky. Understand Mike, this community does not need you, you need the community. You need to make friends and be a friend. The buell community is unlike any other fanclub of brands and types. Those who make good deals on Buell product are those who show to be friends, they are honest and transparent. They communicate openly. They are involved with a heart for the brand AND for the people. This is my last word to you Mike. It's the last thing I can do for you and I think I've stretched it far enough. You have claimed to be innocent and to be of good will and have good intensions. SHOW IT! Post your story, defend your case. Deal with Rocky. Deal with YATT. Do this and you will stand. Fail and you will fall.
