I just received the new LSL steering damper from Adrenalin-Moto (great customer service by the way)! I'll install it tonight and report back asap. -- |

I was only able to ride with it on for a mile or two (rain), but I can already tell I'm gonna love this thing. You can actually reach the adjustment rod with your left hand while riding without any trouble at all. The install only took about 30 minutes. And it looks trick tucked behind the front forks. I would have no trouble recommending this product to anyone who asked. Shipping only took about two business days from the UK! I ordered it on Thursday afternoon, and received it today (Tuesday). I didn't expect to see it for weeks. Thanks again Trojan! -- (Message edited by dago on October 06, 2004) |

Hey Dago, This kit doesnt hamper using a lower triple tree lift does it ? I couldnt tell by the pictures if it gets in the way. If you dont mind sharing, what did it wind up costing you, what with the exchange rate and shipping . |

Blue, I've never used a lower triple tree lift before, but I imagine it would be in the way. The damper is mounted to the front engine mount bolt and sits directly under the triple tree. The cost was US$299.50 plus $30 shipping. Worth every cent so far. -- |

How do you like those bars? How do they compare with an R's position? Finally some one has a nice stabilizer for our S's. |

Hasnfefr, It's hard for me to say exactly how the crossroads bars compare to the R's stock position. I simply havn't been on an R enough. Ask Al. Al??? A little help here? -- |

Hey Hasnfefr - My brother has a XB9S with a kit very like this from American Sport Bike ( it may even be the same, I dont rember what the packaging said ), and when comparing it to my 9r, they seem quite a bit wider than my bars. Other than that , they are real close to mine bars.the other difference is that they feel like the bars are angled a bit more twords the ground , but, that may ba attributed to the different seat. |

Ingemar, You're going to love it. I just did about 100 miles with it tonight. I played with all the settings in a wide range of situations. Surprisingly enough, I have found that setting it at it's mid point resistance level was more than enough damping to completely eliminate the wobble in any situation I put the bike in. I no longer feel like I'm riding a bull above 120 mph. She's as solid as a rock. And the curves....aaaahhhhhh the long sweepers so prevalent around me....how sweet they are now. It should have come like this from the factory. |
