Has anyone here used the cross roads handle bars that are shown on the Trojan Horse website? If so what do you think of them. Or does anyone know of another alternative similar to the cross roads bars. for the Lightning XB. |

I use them on my XB12S and for the most part love them. My only complaint is that they could easily be about 3/4" shorter and my wrists don't like the down angle of the bar tubes. Al at American Sport Bike is apparently working on an alternate set of tubes that will replace the stock Crossroads tubes and address these issues. Other than that, they work and look outstanding! |

I too have the crossroads bars and agree with 2k4xb12's statements above 100%. I can't wait for the new option to arrive. |

the stock bars on my 9 tend to push up on my shoulders, will these alleviate that? |

The crossroads bars with the 0 degree down angle (stock xroads have 7 degree down angle) will be in late this week. For those that have bought them, I'll have just the bars that will bolt on, and I'll have full sets with 0 degree as well. The stock 7 degree down angle bars are in stock now. Al |

Al, I'm definately interested in the 0 degree bars. Please let me know when they're available. Are they a bit shorter as well? Steve. |

Guys, I really like the riding position of the Crossroads over the stock bars on my XB9S. I put 492 miles on my bike yesterday. That simply would not have been possible with the original bars. Keith |

They are a bit shorter, about .65-.70" or so per side. This is a good thing, the stock xroads are a little to wide for my liking. |

American Sport Bike now has the new flatter profile Crossroads clip-on style bars in stock. .70" or so narrower per side, 0 degree down angle. I put them on the shop XB9S before Oktoberfast, put 300 miles or so on them this weekend. I'm very pleased with them. Very neutral body position at speeds above 50Mph or so. The height increase is a good improvement, but the decrease in width is even better, much more natural feeling. Here is a picture of the two bars. I tried to park the bike in the same spot, but it isn't perfectly aligned. I don't think the picture does the change in position justice, it is a lot more noticeable on the bike than it looks in this picture. It doesn't take a lot of distance change to make a huge difference in feel. If you originally bought the stock crossroads 7 degree bars from American Sport Bike, the new flat bars (bars only, not the full kit with the plate) are $119.95. Otherwise, they are $139.95. The full kit with flat bars are the same price as the 7 degree bars, $249.95. I'll continue to carry both, but will recommend the flat ones to all buyers. Al |
