His ipaq is a pocket pc, I think he's not sure if it'll work without the dongle. If it won't he wants the PC version. | ||

So is an Ipac a PDA? If it is, then he would have to get the PDA unit. The dongle, from what they are telling me just makes the unit wireless. Sorry I am a computer moron. Dave | ||

They don't list the exact model I am offering, but I am reasonably sure that it will work, given the other models they list. You will still need a desktop to load the PDA software on to the palm. I will have to look at my pile to see if I have a hotsync cable, so you may need to scare one of those up as well, or it may come with the kit. Email me a shipping address offline. | ||

Pocket pc's and pda's? what the difference? mail them daves and ask them if their pda software and cables are compatible with the ipaq 2210/2215(very common pda/pocket pc) if not i'll wait until it is as moving my pc near the bike every time i want to use it is unreasonable unless the bluetooth dongle/adaptor becomes a reasonble price as most bluetooth adaptors are in the £20/£30 range here. I don't think that list is complete. For example they list the TRG Pro, a kick ••• little Palm Pilot which has the Palm III connector and 4 megs of ram. The Palm IIIx is effectively the same device, just without the compact flash adapter, so anything that works with the Palm IIIx should work with the TRG Pro, and vice versa. If it's not ram intensive (and no reason it has to be) and uses the palm 3 connector / serial hotsync cable, I might be able to cobble together more then one working unit... I have a LOT of parts. | ||
