Other than the R bars? Other than the R bars? That is one hell of a mod there. Too bad the picture isn't from the side. His key had to be shaved down so far it barely has enough left to turn the switch. The housing had to be cut away so the "clip ons" would fit under the speedo and tach. Drilled a hole in the side of the housing to fit the "R" clutch cable. Looks like stock unless you look real hard, one wouldn't know he did all this by candlelight only using his toes and left handed wrenches. |

Hey guys, any further update on the condition of the two downed Buellers? Haven't seen anything in several days. Hope all is well. |

Shred had to go back in the hospital, he's there now. He got an infection, and almost got pneumonia. The docs here said he should have never been released from the hospital in NC. He may get to go home later this week. Pete has made it back down here. He's at Shepherds Spinal Clinic, the same place Tedk was. He's still in ICU however. We'll be visiting asap. This is all I know as of now. I'll remember to post more updates as I get them. Thanks for asking, these guys are like my brothers. |

Thanks for keeping us up to date Glitch. So is Shred gonna get the nickname Wolverine now?!?! Pete is still heavily on my mind as well, even though I never met the guy. I would love to hear any updates when you get them. |

Will do. The Vortex is holding an auction a week from today. All proceeds go to Pete and family. They are auctioning off everything from gift certificates to waitresses. If anyone is in the area, come on to Little Five Points to the Vortex. Even if you don't have any money come show your support. Besides, they have the best Bike Night in the South East! |

They're auctioning off waitresses? Is that legal down there? Next thing you know someone will be giving away free beer and charging for the cups. ===== Good job on the event though. May they heal well and fast. (Message edited by mikej on September 30, 2004) |

Here is the latest information I have on Pete. He is back in Atlanta at Shepherd Spinal Clinic. They already have him doing rehab. I spoke with his wife and they are in good spirits. Pete has said he does not want phone calls or visitors at this time. He just needs a little time to begin to sort things out. As soon as he want company, I will let everyone know. He moved his right quadracep (thigh muscle) today, which is good news. I have full confidence Pete will come back from this. We are going to move the Vortex event to the 14th of October. This will give us more time to rally folks to come down. Cameron |

Yeah Pete's worried they won't be rid of me if they open the flood gates! Mike may leave the hospital this morning. I went to see him last night. He looks so much better, his ol' self. And judging by his lip lock on his certain someone when I walked in, he's feeling like his ol' self too. I love good news! |

Glitch- glad to hear the good news about Mike. Blood clots are nothing to fool around with. No offense to any competent health professionals here, but my recent experience with hospitals has NOT been good. Glad Mike got things straightened out. |

Michael is getting out of the hospital this evening. I had to bring my bike home to get my jeep to pick him up. 2-up just won't work...yet |

Hey, just in case you were wonder how tough Shred (Mike) is, here's a shot of the car. Now normally in a car vs bike thing the bike takes the beating. Mike apparently missed that memo

Mike will love that pic! Just got back from his Mom's. He looks real good, and is more himself. Went four hours with out pain killers! Still has a load of antibiotics he has to take, a whole heap of swelling is gone. Looks like he's really on the mend, still has a long way to go though. More as I know it. Haven't heard anything more on Pete. No news is good news I keep telling myself. |

Stay positive Glitch. Keep it up Pete! If it were up to me, I would start calling you wolverine... especially based on the looks of that car. Hate to think what the Buell looks like, but there are no shortage of great Buells to pick up. |

Funny, I picked up the bike, put it on a trailer, and brought it home. I haven't seen it since we got it home. The funny part is, other than the rear set (the brake side) I couldn't honestly tell you the condition of the bike. The only reason I can tell you the condition of the rear set, is because Charlie handed it to me last night. |

Damn he almost made it across the road. He said he probably would have made it if he had gunned it some more but he was in wreck mode and didn't want to add anymore speed to the situation. He knew he was going to lay it down and didn't want to do it any harder than he had to. Not bad considering the car was coming at him head on, on the double yellow. |

One more odd thing about all of this. I obviously have not been home much since this all transpired and I came home to a new neighbor moving in next door. We started talking and apparently he was the pilot who flew Pete from the accident scene to Johnson City. I didn't ask if he flew him to Shepards cuz I was a little stunned at the initial information. But man what a small, SMALL world!!!! |

WOW I just got news on Pete. He moved his upper thigh yesterday. The upper portion he had been twitching he now has moved. No movement in the lower leg but it's still a good sign!!!! |
