A little rant...I have taken my Xb9sl to a few dealers around the area now and have not been happy with any of the treatment that I have gotten...Unfortunately I live in Manhattan and thus do not have access to a garage or tools so I am dependent on service departments. I have found that there is no SERVICE in service departments and Buell knowledge is few and far between. This most recent rant is because I took my bike to L.I.C Harley after I felt brake pulsing on deceleration. After checking the forums here I took it in and told the shop that I suspected that the head bolt and or triple clamp bolts needed adjusting and to check the wheel bearing. Upon pickup I was told that I my tire was low on air and that was the reason...I check my pressure every time I ride so I was brushed off again. I still have the head shake and would like to ask the board where is the SERVICE, knowledgeable, friendly AND most of all Buelligans. Thanks |

Sean; you may have to venture out to Jersey for Buell related service. I was disappointed in both Staten Island and Hempstead service. Haven't been to LIC in years. But some of the Jersey brethren have been happy with the service and Buell enthusiasm at Edison HD/Buell. And I'm in Queens so when I get all the crap cleared out of the garage, you're welcome to stop by for a bit of wrenching and BS-ing. Also, check out the Meet the Outta Towners thread. Henrik |

Sean, Have you tried Woodstock HD/ Buell near Kingston , NY ,its a 70 mile ride for you , but they have knowledgeable techs and a Buell parts manager who used to hang around this board a a lot before he had his XB stolen , i have used them on many occasions and have always been satisfied |

Being a StepChild is a hard path to take, but, a journey worth taking. Hope all goes well. If you're ever in the South East I'll introduce you to more Buelligans, and some awesome riding. |

Step kids are not obligated to attend the family reunions once they grow up, and most don't. Think about that one for a moment. |

Henrik AND Buelluk thanks for the suggestions...I also heard there is a Dealer in Northern Jersey called Kosco...they race buells....anyone heard good or bad. As for being the Stepchild...even though we are separated from the HD line, if they carry and service our bikes I would expect at least a little familital respect...sort of like at thanksgiving when that aunt smiles at you evne though she doesn't remember you Thanks |
