Hey Dennis! Where did you get those fuel tank sliders?? Now that the XB is BOUGHT I need to figure out how to pick it up, thinking of leaving on Friday the 24th @ 4:00 in the afternoon, then driving staight thru to Fond DU Lac, stay the night, get up early load the bike in back of the pickem up truck--paying the dude--heading straight back for another 9 1/2 hour drive!! Get back Sat afternoon, unload XB. Sunday hit the Badweb and see if anyone wants to RIDE and hit the pavement (Hypithetically speakin). Hope there is a lot of Diesel truck stops along the way! DEREK ATTN: DEREK, First coat is on, run on the front fork (damn) so re-sand re-shoot tomorrow (sunday). Should be ready to rock and roll Monday afternoon, so I will pick up Monday and deliver Tuesday Morning, you know where--- What the hell did I tell you about the side cases?? I think I said pick up Monday?? |

Call Rent a Center, and get the biggest nicest TV they have, everyone chip in for the rental cost, and cook burgers on the grill, set up in a garge or someone's patio and make a party out of it. If all of us chipped in, it could be pretty affordable good time. |

If it comes to renting a big screen and having a "drive-in" movie night... we can set it up in the bike shop and have lawn chairs on the concrete behind the shop. an option... |

O.K., Got XB home, trip was long and BORING, a lot more scratches on body work than I expected but not to bad, (hardly can feel with fingernail), bike needs cleaned REALLY bad. The guy rode it and put it away every day without even waxing it or anything between rides. Very happy with bike all in all though!! Will post pics when I have them. Paul F |

The Slimey Crud Run this Sunday Who's going for sure? Which way are you coming in from? Want to meet up with other heading in from the same direction? Our plan is the same. Leave Appleton at 8:30 sharp, ride to the Starbucks in Madison on the south side, Monona Dr exit(about a block north on Monona, on your right hand side) we plan to be there at 10:30. We will leave at 11:00 to ride out to Pine Bluff, eta is 11:30-12:00 Probably hang out in Pine Bluff for 1 hour and then head to Leland. I will be packing some Buell product CDs for those of you that don't already have one and to hand out to the unsuspecting! So, one last time, who's going? Who's meeting us in Madison? Who's meeting us in Pine Bluff? Who's meeting us in Leland? Please go to the thread in the Quickboard to reply. PS There are still openings for the track day at Blackhawk on Monday the 4th. Call me if you're interested. Dave |

I know, I know, We talked about coming up there but it would have set me back a few hours from getting home, wife was already upset over the deal, did not want to be latE!!!!! His name was Milt Mueller, from Theresa Wis. He is a CNC operator at the Harley plant, go figure! He told me if I didn't buy it he was going to sell to you guys for a little cheaper? Man, we got lost going home from West Allis. (location of his credit Union). Maybe next time. Hey, I do need a new windshield for the beast, how much for the smoke ones?? Are they more expensive than the Yellow ones?? Also I need a set of those frame sliders that stick on the fuel tank. A few screws from the lower are missing after Hal's put a race kit on it. Drop me a line some time and let me know!! Paul F |

Glad you made a safe trip Paul! Sounds like the bike was a pretty good deal still! How do you like the riding position?? |

Riding position is really strange, partly to the fact that I am about 30 lbs over weight. Other than that it's more comfy than the s1, boy the seat sure gets hot though!! I rode home from work and my god you would of thought the thing was on fire. I think the shifter the guy put on sucks! it is 1 up 4- down erggg! really crappy when slowing into a corner. Its suppost to be reversible, so I will tinker with it and see if I can break it! Paul F |
