The Uke's Brag Club out of Kenosha, Wisconsin is, hopefully, going to get a group of riders to assault Deal's Gap next summer. There are a few of us on the absolutely list and hopefully more to join. Want to know if another Brag Clubs or individuals would like to join us!? Trying to make it a family thing, a Buell thing, and an all around motorcycle lovers thing. Nothing is written in stone as far as dates, but thinking Fontana Village would be the place. Please post if your interested and I'll keep your e-mail address and let you know what's being planned. Thanks. Be nice to put faces with some of the names. |

If I'm not deployed and able, I'd sure be interested in this. |

I hope to know more on dates, say over the next month. We have a meeting tomorrow and I'll try to get some feedback from our Club members. I wrote a newsletter for the meeting. I'll e-mail it to everyone that shows interest to give you an idea. Plus I will post updates on the Badweb as well. Man, I'd love to see 100 Buells tear it up down there. Thanks to you guys for the quick response. And I hope SouthernMarines' services are not called upon! |

1313, O.K., I think I'll be cool enough with the colonel by that point that I can go. Carlos? He'll say yes now but when it comes time to put up...... Maybe we can get Doug, my GM to break out his X1W too. It sucked to have to had miss the fun that was last week. Maybe by then we can put together an "un-official" Brag club and drag a few others along too. |

I'll meet you there, I live near Asheville. I was there this past weekend, after the Ride-the-Ridge get together. A Goldwing ran an R6 off the road (the R6 owner also has an X1S), and generally cruisers vs. sportbikes were blaming each other for dangerous riding. Most slower bikes, cruisers included, will wave you past, though. Hey, those dang sports cars won't pull over & let you by for nuthin'. They hold you up just like a pickup truck with furniture in the back, but nnnnnooooooo, those sports cars are to dang proud. (OK, 1 pulled over, but the rest were road hogs.) |

if I may offer a piece of advice, strongly suggest you time your visit for serious dragon skyway running for a weekday -- much less traffic, sports cars, cruisers, sportbikes . . . in my two trips down, I have noticced absoilutely no pattern emerge in the degree of chuckle-headedness in terms of vehicle choice -- the potential, it seems, lurks in all of us . . . . weekdays, the traffic is down to a dull roar, and you can have the place much more to yourself |

I'm with Bomber. A weekday event is the way to go. It's about 6 hours out there for me but I have family in the area that I need to visit anyway. Keep us posted. |

If we can make this in July or later in summer I am most likely in as I will be retiring from the army and have 90 days vacation built up!! |

Hey, I'm interested. Fontanna Village is cool. I'd also recommend the Microtel Inn in Robbinsville which is fairly new, inexpensive, very clean, and motorcycle friendly. Lots of great roads in the area besides the Dragon. |

also check out Iron Horse Motorcylce Lodge near Robbinsville -- Grounder and I found it last year when we were down there -- they had just opened for business, and it seemed pretty affordable -- cabins, campground, food nice folks too (and no, I'm not getting a cut!) ironhorseNC.com |

What I was thinking was around the end of July, beginning of August. Was there this year at that time and the weather was great. I was also thinking of a Saturday to a Saturday thing. I know how bad the traffic is on the weekends there. This way people can go for the whole time or just part. I appreciate all the responses. Getting more enthusiasm from you people than the Brag Club here! By the way, this is A Buell/Brag thing, but I don't care what people ride. Everyone is welcomed! I was thinking of Fontana Village because it's geared toward families. |

Be a good idea Rocket if you keep this just a BUELL thing not a BRAG. |

Gotta agree with that. Keep Brag out of it. Hell keep Buell out of it & make it a Badweb event. Afterall the only folks who will really know about it will be the ones here. |

Might I make a suggestion here? What about using Johnson city/Bristol area as your starting point? - Your not far from the Gap, not far from 412 (where the Brag ride just was) and it's a big enough area that rooms and food are plentyfull. Just a thought I'd run across ya'all. |

Just got back from the Dragon last night. Great riding even on the weekend, spent Sat, Sun, and Mon riding the area. Triumph was having their RAT raid there (met TBS-stunta there). Fastco, I drove from the Boone arae to Robinsville, it was around 180 miles, I think Johson City would be about the same. But it would be great to have an event centered in that area. Craig |

Glitch, it was great to meet you, considering the circumstances. I am just now catching up on all the posts about the weekend and Pete/Mike. Will try to call them when everything settles down. Hope to take you up on your offer to visit the North Georgia Mtns someday. Take Care. Craig |
