http://www.technoresearch.com/ I am trying to work out a deal with them to buy in quantity so I can save everyone a buck or two. You can set your own TPS with it! Let me know. List price is 199.99 Wireless, Bluetooth Dongle(what the heck is a dongle?) is an additional 150.00 They have unit to work with a PC and laptop or one to work with a PDA. You have to specify which one you want. This is what some of you have been wanting for a while now. I want to place an initial order next week. I "think" if I can get 10 or so of them pre-sold I can work a deal with them. Who's on board? Dave daves@h-dappleton.com 1-866-757-1651 |

I can't believe they call that a dongle, but maybe I don't know the definition of "dongle". I've been working in IT for nearly 10 years and a dongle has always been a thingy you connect to your serial, parallel or usb port on your laptop/pc to make software to work. It's a security thing. If the software is unable to find this dongle connected to the computer it won't work, thus preventing illegal copies from working. In this case, they mean the bluetooth sender/reciever you connect to your pc/laptop to communicate with the hardware you connect to your bike. I'd love to have one but I will have to wait till next year. Hopefully you'll do this again by then. |

...hmmm...on further reflection I may just have to buy a PDA! I'll give you a firm answer by Monday. I'll tell guys in our BRAG group today too. Might be able to get a couple of more guys interested. Do you have a ballpark price after a quantity discount? |

Well I'm going to try and get them to take an extra 10% off so I can pass it along to the Badwebbers. I think if I can order a bunch, they will give me a break so I can save everyone some $$. If I have to charge the same price then it's not much benefit to get them thru me. I will be off work on Monday so let me know Tuesday or send me an email, I check that even when I not here. Yes, Dave, that looks great, I'd want one as well. PC interface sucks, (yeah another Mac weenie), but I'd buy one anyway... |

Dave, I'm in a waiting list from Technresearch. But if you could get it right away, than count me in for a PDA version. |

I just received the PC version today. I haven't had a chance to do anything with it yet. Maybe late tonight or tomorrow. I'll keep you posted on what it does. I'm sorry Dave, I would have jumped on board with you guys if I had known sooner. |

dave I need the hardware for the front and rear rotors. Can you get it for me? I am putting on the new wave rotors and I was told I should replace the hardware as well. Do I need to replace the bolts that hold the calipers? I always do that when I change brakes on my car. |

I'm in for a PC version. A web search showed that there are Ducati pilots already using a similar product from Technoresearch on their bikes, with positive results. From what I've read in their postings, the TPS reading is given in degrees, which would help perform the reset in accordance with the official Buell service instructions. Chainsaw & Tommy, it might work with VirtualPC...quite a bit of Windoze-only hardware does. (Yes, I'm another Mac nut.) |

Dave another tuber wants to know! If it works for a RACE ECMed X1 (2001 if that any difference) I'm in. The website doesn't work. Does anyone know the deal on cabling, I have a laptop and a palm. It would be nice if the software worked with the palm, but I'd be happier than sh*t with any working solution |

Anyone with the unit do a TPS reset? If so, how did it go? |

I'll have to pass for now. If they had a MAC version, I would be all over it. I just don't have easy access to a PC laptop, and buying a PDA bumps me up to the $500 to reset my TPS. Buying Windows emulation software puts me in the same price range. Blackbelt: It does look like all Buell models are supported. |

I will want one as soon as someone who has been on this board a while actually verifies that it can perform the TPS reset. |
