Did you have the TPS reset when you installed it?? That would be my first plan of action! Bruce |

HI Bruce yes i made all the procedures.... in fact the thing is fantastic trough all the rv range.... simply at that specific rpm there it is a small hicup... i moded the OEM exhaust, like the drummer and i kept the motor valve once it is disabled, so i think it maybe aN ecm malfunction. One thing worries me though, i installed the ECM and then i had to travel 50 miles without tps adjustment. that may weakened the spark plugs to produce that symptom?????????? I would have the dealer reset the TPS, BUT it may be your "drummer" mod. How can you do their mod when they do NOT disclose exactly what they do? I'd get the real drummer or the rest of the race kit. |

hi i simply turn the OEM exhaust into a direct exit.... nothing very secret to know or to hide.... and thr hicup at 4k seems to me something to do with fueling..... |

Yikes! Look at Trenchtractors "Race vs stock ECM" post here. You might be running waaaay lean in the middle. Also look at the treads hear on Techlusion-I've had good luck so far. Waiting to see Trenchtractors dyno results though (especially AF ratio). xbolt12 |

Your exhaust might be the problem. You can't simply weld in a chunk of pipe and expect it to work right. I'm running a Drummer now, but I originally bought a "straight through" Jardine which left me with the exact same hole at 3,700 RPM. It sucked! I swapped it for the "real" Drummer and no more hole. The power curve is so much smoother than stock (not just seat of pants, but on the dyno as well). It's more straight and linear than stock. |

Toban, don't know if we are experiencing the same thing, but I too have had a Hicup, almost as though the ignition shut off for a split second. Haven't noticed the specific RPM, but seems to do so more while cold (initial 10 miles or so ). Bike runs well, idle through acceleration, just once in a while a "hicup". I have race ecm, and a drummer ( yes the REAL drummer ), tps was reset. Have no answer for it, I'll be paying more attention to it though. |
