How about you call yourselves, "Buell Enthusiasts"? I sure as heck don't go around calling myself or anyone a "Tuber". Where you got the idea that the guys riding the older Buells did, well, I don't know. We and others do refer to the older model Buell twins as "tube framers", but we don't use that to describe ourselves. I've never been much for exclusive clubs or groups. Like to keep things as all-inclusive as possible. As for the XB model Buells, they are "XB's"; pretty simple, no? |

Hey I've owned both types, a 98 S3 and now a 03 XB9S... Naturally over time, the entire board has started gravitate over to being more XB-centric. As the date on our calanders continues to march on futher to the right I suspect the tube frame topic posters/posts will continue to dwindle until it reaches a stabil level composed of a small tight-knit group of "tubers"... Anyway back on topic... For the near-future I agree w/Blake; "Buell Enthusiasts" seems to be the correct nomen for folks that frequent this site... Maybe later on in time we'll see a more distinct seperation of the breeds.... kk//kef |

I thought we were talking about the bikes. We are all Buellers, doesn't matter if you ride a tuber or a XB. Dave |

Well, let me state that I never thought or got the feeling that "tubers" was a durragatory (SP???) connotation. Just simply an easy way to identify them, the bikes, and the riders in simple relation. |

this place is getting funny when all we have to do is sit around and think of what kind of cool name we can give ourselves. Just ride, I ride an xb... my name is Mookie and im a member of the almond armada where everyone is a nut. easy enough? i dont need to have some sort of affiliation or cool name, all i need to do is stay in front of you so Im not being slowed down. |
