yeah i threw it in the trash, then noticed it after a while sitting there, realized it was a crispy bill, and must have fallen out of the mail. so found the jd powers thing, filled it out, and gave a good plug to buell and my dealer. |

Got it, spent the buck on fuel . Took the survey and said good things about Buell (which is the way I feel). |

And I bet my X1 goes farther on a dollar's worth of gas than your R1. |

What is the gas mileage like on an R1? |

Its not real outstanding Mike. If I take it easy & just cruise around I have gotten 45-46mpg. But really start hammering it & it will drop into the 29-30 range. At a track day it will be even worse, I was getting 24-25mpg. But my normal average mileage is around the 36-37 range. Thats a combo of city, little county riding, number of wheelies, etc. |

Well, considering the available power it has I guess that's decent mileage. Was just curious. At one of the local shops when I asked about gas mileage the salescritter started dancing all around the subject until I finally nailed his shoes to the floor and got an answer. |
