hi bad weather bikers. i would like to introduce myself. name is phil but here i will go by biknut. i'm 50 years young and have had handlebars in my hand since i was 3 years old. i ride a 88 model 1200 sportster, and also own a 97 road king. my son rides a 04 xb12s and also has a 01 1200 sportster. we got ride. my best friend rides a 04 xb12r with factory race kit. i've been checking out this sight for some time now and decided i relate more to you guys than the typical chrome laden sportster rider. through out the years i've done most all of my own repairs and maintenance. i'll try to share my experience and knowledge with you. i like any bike better than no bike, but some bikes better than others. i can relate when some of you say that you feel like second class citizens when you go to the hd stealer because before buell riders were treated that way sportster riders got the same treatment. if i ever say anything you don't like, say what you will about me, i have a real tough skin and don't much give a damn. if it's a day of the week then i probably had my sportster at the 6500 rpm self imposed red line at least once. oh yea i live in dallas texas. see you around. |
