Too busy having a nice BBQ and romantic evening on the patio to waste it on a bunch of Biker's. LOL Pray for Global Warming! For the last three weeks, this weather is the best in the Nation! Oh yeah, and I have been riding every day! |

Outrider. I've driven a car twice in the past 2 months. And have only rained on twice The only reason I drove the car one of those times, is it's hard to haul a roto tiller around on the S3T. TWT was pretty cool(my 1st one). Only 3 Buells there. Mine, another S3T(same color as mine too), and an XB. |

Steve...TWT usually is a fun time. Not to mention you get to meet new folks and see new bikes each time you go. Is a great way to meet the local biking community. Especially since there aren't any Non-Harley bike hang outs in the country. Well, at least none that I have found or heard of. |

Non-Harley hangouts are usually very mobile and temporary and often lively. They also usually congregate in smaller numbers since a group of 2-5 moves more efficiently than a group of 20-50. The big non-Harley gatherings are infrequent, CrudRun being one. Went past Don&Roy's a year to two ago one evening and there must have been what looked like 100s of people crammed into their parking lot, police were setting up just as I was going past. The other regular gathering place I've seen is at that bar out by HolyHill near where Munster road pops out, never stopped there but bikes are always there whenever I ride past. |

It would be really cool to organize like 20+ Buells to show up there at TWT all at once I had several "Harley Guys" stop by and say they've never seen a "bagger Buell". LOL! Several Triumph guys stopped by and gave me a thumbs up, and said "cool". Liked the big bags on the bike. So, think we could arrange a big group one of these days to go? And where were YOU last night CJ? |

Why not? Long range weather predictions show January 4th, 2005, to be clear and dry and 70°F. Gonna be an early spring it is. Of course March is going to get 9' of snow in 72 hours, but that's supposed to be a surprise. |

Mike...was referring to regular MC hangouts like we had back home. The Lookout, Newcomb's Ranch, The Rock Store, etc., catered to riders of all brands as well as the general public. Is like TWT from sunrise to sunset on weekends and holidays. Some even have a good turnout during the week as well. These are places that are out of town in the good riding areas where bikers congregate regardless of brand or type of bike. They can be your destination for the day or just a pleasant stop on a ride. The one constant is that you can always plan on other riders being there. Yeah, we have them here, but they are Harley Bars. You won't get kicked out for having a Non-Harley, but you won't be able to assimilate very deep into the clique unless you have something they want. I'll leave it up to you to figure that one out. LOL |

Dull called me. He left my key in the ignition (On position, lights on), at UW-Milwaukee for around twelve hours. Battery dead. At least no one took the S2. He also lost a Nylon washer from the bike during the jump start. What are best friends for? |

Dull is my guy. Been that way for 13 some years, through thick and thin on both sides. There is little that I can think of that he could do that would change that. It is only a bike, it is insured, and even if it was not, he would take care of it. I can, (will) get another bike in the future, but where would I ever get another Dull. WARNING: Beautiful drunk talk ahead. I love you man! |

Doughnut. I understand what you mean. I have brothers that I would also not care if they did that to my bike. It's just an object. And I know he would make good if anything happened to it. |

I wish I had the poem that had been sent to me titled "best friends" I think it was. It had a line a long the lines of . . . And when you fall on your face, I will be there, to point and laugh at your dumb a&&. That is a true friend. |

Bill, There are a couple of people I know out in the Madison area who know the local to them hangout spots, one is near BlackEarth someplace near a bicycle trail, a restaurant/bar with a good collection of burnout designs on the pavement out front. In this corner of the state there probably aren't any equivalent places to Alice's, but then from what I've heard even Alice's isn't really Alice's anymore. I always avoid being sucked into a clique. Sort of like quicksand, looks smooth and cool on the surface, nothing but mud and suffocation once you're in it though. Dough, What nylon washer was lost during a jumpstart? Clip the positive to the battery post, clip the negative cable to the engine, jump start it after letting it get some juice into it. I can't see where a washer could be lost. And just a heads up, I've parked my M2 in the underground parking area of the Math/Physics building before and the alarm was triggered at least once last year or the year before. There was one S3 Buell stolen from that same parking area last year I think. Parking at the curb over on Downer or elsewhere doesn't seem to have the Buell theft potential as the underground garage does for some reason. Just a heads-up to keep in mind. When parking the bike at the campus near the Math/physics building I use the surface parking in the corner, even though the underground garage has the surveilance cameras it still seems to be the preferred bike theft choice spot. |
