Hi all, I finally took the plunge and Bought a new XB12, it's no rocketship but it sure is fun. I rode from Duluth MN to Tomahawk,WI. on Saturday 300mi. one way and back the same day. Um who was it that said the XB12 was comfortable on Long Trips? Anyhow I'm enjoying the bike so far and after selling the Busa I was just looking for a change, and I like it very much. Just wanted to say Hi. |

You sold a Turbo 'Busa for a Buell? An XB no less? Someone's been spiking your drinks with the kool aid. |

Thanks for the replies, I'm already meeting a lot of nice people in the Buell community, one thing I've noticed is that buellers are true "Motorcycle enthusiasts." What I mean by that is they aren't ignorant one name brand bikers, who don't know anything about any other bikes except for what they have. When I've been on my other bikes and talk to a guy on a Buell about his bike, They have always recognized what bike I was riding at the time and we can have some kind of dialogue about the differences etc.. Which to me is great! I have even run into a couple of guys on Harleys and they wanted to know what the heck a Buell was? No I'm not kidding. I've never seen other brand bikes being flamed on this board which is unheard of on any other forum. I would like to say hi back to everyone who has welcomed me on to this board, After reading these forums for a couple of years, I already do feel welcome. Rob |

Well if you like we can start bashing Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, etc. But that is all a waste of breath. All motorcycles have their good points and relative bad points. (Dyna don't say anything) Glad you found a bike that put a smile on your face, cause that is all that is important. |

Team, I'm in Minneapolis. I'm thinking about heading down for the Slimey Crud run. Pine Bluff is a little west of Madison I think. I'm thinking about heading to Madison on Sat. Oct. 2 and getting a room. Then I'll be in the area Sunday morning. Madison is a little over 250 for me so it'd be hard to do in one day especially at this time of year. Oh yeah, welcome! My sister lives in Duluth so I get up there from time to time. |

What I mean by that is they aren't ignorant one name brand bikers, who don't know anything about any other bikes except for what they have. Actually thats true of riders of all brands. Unfortunately every group has the folks who proclaim 1 bike..usually their own..as superior to all others & cant see that all bikes have their good points. |

Well there you go Team, got a riding partner and everything. Go on mapquest and look up where Pine Bluff is. Be a great chance to meet some Badwebbers in person. M2me, I hope you can make it, if you're staying in Madison, meet us at the Starbucks on Monona Ave and ride out to Pine Bluff with us. You too Team. Dave |

Dave, what time are you meeting at the Starbucks? I had to look up the location in the "205 mph Speeding Ticket" thread which doesn't have anything to do with anything! Mikej posted a link to it's location so I know where that Starbucks is. I just need to know what time you're meeting there. |

Sometimes one of the bars in PineBluff open early and serve up coffee and a few viddles. Get there early, before the dew dries on the roads, if you want to see the whole show. When I go I get there around 9 or so, give or take a few hours. |

Mike...It is the bar on the NE corner and the breakfast menu is fantastic. Lots of industry folks in there early so the conversations are both fun and enlightening. I usually try to get there around 8:30 AM. Get a good parking spot, have a leisurely breakfast before the rush, check out the bikes as they come in, then head out for Leland and repeat. |

team welcome. it was i who said that the lightning is comfortable for long rides. the stock seat is not much fun, but the corbin, which has had its price reduced to $220, makes the bike a pure pleasure. try it you will like. |
