This is a call for all So Nev Buellers....I was told by HD of Vegas they were #1 in Buell sales but they do not see fit to have a Brag club.. I think if we all ban together we can make them sponsor one. Shky Jake edited by Shky_Jake on July 25, 2004 |

You got my vote! I'll drop you a line next week and we'll see what happens. Have you checked to see how diddicult it will be to get them to start a BRAG club? Nick |

Let me know if you want. Charlieboy: Any time you come to vegas post and we can meet up. I also go to Kingman and Bullhead every couple of months. Hey, Why don't you hit it up to the Vegas Speedway next weekend for the Formula USA race??? Be a great way to kick off your idea AND there will probably be more racing Buells in one place than any other type of race. |

I have been working a lot. What time and day are they going to be there? I might be able to go. |

The Vegas event is Friday, Saturday and Sunday - 17-19 September. First practices start every day at 8 with racing starting after lunch break Friday, Sat and Sun racing runs most of the day. Sunday is the "main event" for Buells - the Formula USA Thunderbike race. Detailed schedule at the following link: http://www.formulausa.com/shows/pdf/Alt%20Vegas%20SCHEDULE.pdf Oh - the bummer is the gate aint cheap: TICKETS Kids 12 & UNDER FREE SPECTATOR WEEKEND - $35 Valid for 3 days. Provides access to infield, paddock and garages. SPECTATOR SATURDAY & SUNDAY - $25 Valid for 2 days. Provides access to infield, paddock and garages. SPECTATOR SUNDAY ONLY - $20 Valid for 1 day. Provides access to infield, paddock and garages. If you do make it, I'm racing for Glendale HD/Buell and will be under a black pop-up shade with the Glendale HD/Buell logo. My bike is an XB and was SUPPOSED to have a fancy paint job but after the crash in practice last weekend, I'm having to make do with just white. More important to get the machinery working right. My normal number is 604 - that might change if there is a conflict with somebody from another region (not likely) I'm pitting next to Jeff Ecklund from Bartels - we're driving out together. Stop by and say HI. Talk to Tim and Candice in the pit with me. They setup our Golden State BRAG chapter and run it through Glendale and will give you some pointers about getting rolling. I'm only doing one race each day and because of the crowded race schedule, am going to have a lot of down time so if you stop in, be sure to say HI. Slaughter IS my real name by the way (Steve) - everybody just calls me Slaughter. Besides, you can cruise the pits and check out the other teams - this is a combined CCS Club regional and National event so it's going to be BIG for a non-AMA race. Jake, Come on out on Saturday if you can. Gate fees suck but are typical of any track that has to kiss NA$CAR's butt. We might have a few of our BRAG group ride up for the weekend in addition to our pit crew. If you can make out, GREAT! By the way, our Glendale-based BRAG chapter is a pretty good model to use. When we did a trackday at Pahrump, we got about 22 club members out to play on the track. We do a ton of activities but yeah, you need a dealer who will work with you. Stay in touch - home email is on my profile. Go to the link for some pics of our track day! http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v304/buellrider/Pahrump%20Trackday%202004/?s ort=descending |

Hey guys We're gonna be out Pahrump on Halloween weekend for Sportbike Track Time track day. Probably be the last time bikes are on the track for some time. If you're thinking of stopping by, feel free! I'll know more as the weekend gets closer. We have a Willow Springs race weekend the week before and assuming the bike holds up, I'll be out to practice and do some more suspension setup that weekend. |

Slaughter: Keep my posted on when you will be there. Hopefully all will be well or some what well on the home front by then. We have talked about going out there to see the place and try and do some track time. Never been on a track on street that is. A Lot of dirt though. |

The track at Pahrump is a few miles past town. Spring Mountain Motorsports Park is the name of the actual track. Again, if the machinery is still together after Willow Springs race weekend, I'll bring the Muell racebike up there to play a little and tune suspension. 3601 S Highway 160 Pahrump http://www.springmountainmotorsports.com/ The entrance to the track actually crosses the front straight so you'll come to a closed gate that you may have to wait until there's a break to be let across - same once you're in the infield. If you get there before 8, no problem. They're putting in a tunnel eventually so traffic can run in/out while the track is hot but for now, you may have to wait at the gate as long as 20-40 minutes (usually no more than 20 min) |

By the way - I'm looking at the "race budget" and it's about a 50% chance I'll make it. Not sure how much tire rubber I'll have left and if I have to spend another $350 on rubber - I might have to stand down - even though I get the 2 days for free. I'll keep you posted. By the way - regardless - you might want to stop by just to check out the Sportbike Track Time operation if you haven't yet had the chance to hang around a track day in operation. Those 2 days are Intermediate and Advanced groups only - 1/2 hour on, 1/2 hour off - and the Advanced group is about half racers - some pretty fast company. It is an excellent tuning/setup day for us (who arent broke-busted) |

Okay, now I feel stupid. I just noticed this section! You can beat me up later at work about it Nick. Or maybe I should be beating you up for not clueing me in? Anywho, any word on getting a Brag chapter started? Who do I pester at Hooterville Harley or do I even bother with them? I wonder what the Blast would be like cruising around a track... Jason |

Jason: I figured that you had found this already! As far as the BRAG chapter goes.. who knows! I think JAke is still working on it, and I don't really expect a lot of help from Vegas Harley. Our biggest issue here is that all the Harley dealers are owned by one person. I was just at the dealer and with the 30 plus Buells on the floor, you would think that they would be more than happy to sponsor a group. We'll see, or we'll mount an offensive to the dealership on a a Saturday morning. |

Hey John! Welcome! Actually we don't really have a schedule, but I met up with a couple of the guys last Friday night at the Classic McD's on Flamingo and Eastern. Just post a night you wanna meet on here and I am sure some of us will be able to make it. I work some crazy hours right now, so you just never know. My cell phone number is a few posts up, so feel free to give me a call. Nick |

OK here is a number and a name at the local HD shop for all of us wanting to get a BRAG group started. His name is Jeff Lewis, and his number is: 702-431-8500. He is supposedly the one to talk to about sponsoring a BRAG group. Good luck! Nick |

John and Jeb: Welcome... So far the Brag club is slow in the process. I will be calling Brag again for the info. I still want to invade Vegas HD on a Sat to shake a tree or two. Also like Vegas said just post a day and time when you want to go for a ride and someone will show. My goal with this thread is to get enough of us logged on and talking. That way when we invade LVHD I can tell him to log on and show him how many of us are interested in having a club here. Jake |
