So it sounds ridiculous, but I'm thinking of getting one of these for Gus. Anyone use one? I know Justin (buellriderM2) does weight pulls with his pooch. Winter's coming, and I have a high energy Pit Bull Terrier that needs his exercise, and if there's a foot of snow on the ground or if it's 10 degrees outside, a treadmill looks like a good alternative. My only concern is will he actually use it, or will he freak out and run away from it? |

my mom has one for her pitts, its not exactly the same but she gets hers to use it when she is training them for pull compitetions so i think he would use it if you trained him to |

Find a used treadmill in the local classified section, they work better are geerally powered, desogned for walking on, and ususally have some form of padding, however i know several breeders that use them(used ones) and swear by them later R |

http://www.jogadog.com/products.html There are also many breeders who produce larder scale versions. However, check your local ordinances as dog treadmills are illegal in some places. |

Thanks for the responses, guys. I hadn't considered the "dog fighting paraphernalia" angle. I guess I'll just have to risk it I'm planning on starting agility work with him, so I need a way to keep him in shape. Self powered looks like the way to go. |
