Great caricature Glitch!!! As far as the photo shoot goes… I would say we should meet at 6:30 or 7:00 just to allow people time to get there after work, but we have to consider lighting and 5hit like that. I should defer to the resident photo pros… However, we may need consider doing this on a weekend so we can make sure everyone can be involved and we can find an appropriate backdrop and lighting. |

If we can I'd like to have it where we did the first time. Outside right under the Buell sign.

Well I decided to take a road trip this afternoon to get the weird 'vibration' in my front end check and well... It wasn't my brakes or the cupping of my tire it was the bolt on the triple clamp. It had worked itself almost all the way out. While they were tightening it up they cracked the triple clamp so they think it was faulty all the way around. I also go pulled over by Walton County whoohooo!!! I wasn't speeding, I had both wheels on the ground and they still pulled me over- just to see if my bike was stolen??? Apparently since I still have the drive out tag on my bike they can pull me over anytime and make me prove I didn't steal it. He said a lot of people are stealing sportsbikes and slappin' drive out tags on them. Well I guess I don't look like a thief so he let me go but told me I have to carry a copy of my bill of sale with me at all times or I'll get a ticket??? No one told me I had to have that with me or I'd get in trouble??? |

Is the bike fixed? Or do you have to wait for a triple clamp? |

I have to wait for a triple clamp 3-5 days then drive BACK to Athens and have them put it on. The crack is very little and right by the front bolt. I can ride the bike, I'm just supposed to take it easy. I have to go back to Athens anyways, they gave me the wrong rear foot pegs, they gave me the ones for a 12, the color is different than the frame of my bike Doh!! They said it was the same part number and they don't know how to differentiate between the two??? |

Is that bitterness I smell? I would have to agree- Ouch!! They all have been really nice to me. Other than the heavy wrench hand I haven't a bad word to say about them. Just for the record I would have bought my bike at SMHD but they didn't have what I wanted. The events coordinator is going to give me a list of Vendors they use at events for us to possibly use at our Sportbike appreciation day. I thought was mighty white of them to help us have a successful event despite the fact it is being held at a competing dealership. Considering how much the owner is into Buell's I'm surprised you didn't have a good experience. Maybe you just delt with a bad apple, they're at every dealership. You just have to pick through them till you find the one you want to deal with We all jsut got really lucky and have our own- Pete (Message edited by along4theride on September 13, 2004) |

Torqer:Here's the wall by work, skewed a little I know. This only takes about a third of the wall. The rest has been painted over. This one is on the other side of the building. Still couldn't get much, lots of cars in the morning.

When I first went in there last summer, I inquired about the new Lightning... they told me they had not heard there was a new Lightning! I continued to give them the whole spiel about fuel in the frame etc. and they said they would look into it. Then I went down to SMHD the next week and found a salesman that was as excited about the machines that I was. I left with one! Later when I dropped said bike and bent my brake lever, I went over there to get some parts and ended up having to purchase the entire master cylinder assembly because they did not know any better! The whole attitude over there sucks. Just used car salesmen that happen to sell 2-wheel vehicles. SMHD make me feel like part of the family and they will continue to get what little extra money I have! |

I took my passenger sets off and noticed something interesting. The bolt closest to the seat also holds the battery pan in place with a nut from the inside. I only noticed it because it was ideling in the driveway and I heard something ratteling over the usual ratteling. So, I put the top bolts back in to hold the battery pan down. Has anyone else done that or did I just not notice that on the other bikes that have removed the pegs? |
