I installed the Drummer yesterday. It already had the 12 air filter lid. At first I was worried that it might be too loud as I live in a Condo. My friend says that he cannot hear it in his house if I keep the rpm’s low so I now think I might be safe. I have an XB9S and the power at low rpm’s is much improved. I can even drive it at idle! It now sounds like a Harley. I think I now putter around town in a range 500 rpm lower than I did before. I am happy I haven’t bought the race ECM or the K&N filter yet. I wanted to make sure it was not too loud first. Now I can order rest of the parts. |

did you get the loud drummer or what ever they call it? i was under the impression you could get different packing levels w/ the drummer for more or less sound. |

I don't think anyone ever took Brian up on that offer... Mine's a 'standard' Drummer, without the Fatlet (thank God), and it's plenty loud enough without being obnoxious. Very nice rumble, not raspy and stacatto like the Race Can. ...now if I could just get my valvetrain to quiet down so it doesn't sound like I've got some screwdrivers clanking around in the paint shaker, it'd all be good. |

did you get the loud ••• drummer or what ever they call it? I think I got a pretty standard muffler. I talked to Kevin a week before the stock muffler was shipped to him and asked him to make it as quiet as possible. He said he didn't think there would be much difference at all if he put in extra packing. |

What would be funny would be to get a "loud drummer", labelled as such, complete with the three red dots instead of the letters a s and s. Not many people would get it, but the ones that did, would think it's *really* funny... |

There is another drummer... well not another drummer just one that's louder. I have read about 15% louder. That is the one I have on order, with right side outlet. Stickers that say "LOUD ARSE DRUMMER" on both sides would be the icing on the cake. |
