First thing I see as I ride up is Rebecca's (Along4theride) new "gown up bike" Nice! Congrats! I like this Beemer hangin' inside the bar The usual suspects Mike's M2 from that other BRAG chapter Check out this S1! Met this guy last summer up in the mountains The other side, hmm that's not OEM is it? The carbon fiber that got trimmed from the rear fender makes a nice "flyscreen" The lights have LEDs on the outside ring, makes a mean looking green (or choose from like 5 other colors) glow, pretty cool (Needless to say Ann heard all about the S1) Nice Ducati, sweet sounding The Gator showed up again, he's got an ifra red eye that sees his helmet, when his brake light comes on, the back of his helmet lights up (The vincent was there again also, but I couldn't get a picture) Skinny feller ain't he Another new Bueller enters the fold, 316 miles, he's had it for two months now Along4theride passing out flyers for the up coming Sportbike Appreciation Day at SMHD/Buell My favorite place to go in the city Another new friend, limited edition carbon fiber X1, #214, sweet I want something like this Really nice looking bike And I just liked this, the front wall at The Junkman's Daughter

Bryan: Don't worry. I'll have ya all taken care of by Sunday night. Tbs: I took a picture of your's and the other one next to it for the contrast. But the pic sucked out loud. Still getting used to the camera. I noticed the clip ons above the triple, any issues or concerns? |

Looks like one hell of a night! Some sweet Buells I had not seen B4. Sorry I missed out. But although we got beat the Braves game was fun. One of the girls I work with got hit in the face with the first pitch of the game after the Phillies hit a home run. |

Nice...and to think some MC Rag recently implied that Milwaukee's Fuel Cafe was in the same league. |

>>I noticed the clip ons above the triple, any issues or concerns? I had to drop the forks to accommodate the clipons. The LSL clipons are about an inch and a half where they grip the forks. Even with the damper its doesn't feel 100%. So I raised the forks some and it feels just fine, but there is a lot of space in the clipons; that's why I was asking about the Crossroads clips. They looked shorter where they grip the forks.} |

I saw that Black S1 at Road Atlanta over the weekend. Breather on the left side is just for looks not a dual carb. It is a nice looking bike though. |

I know it's fake, but it sure caught my eye. Tbs:The bars are from Crossroads but they are not the XB bars that they sell. They are the 54mm clip ons. They fit without raising the forks as the clamp is only around 10mm thick. I'll post a 'finished' pic this afternoon that looks a lot better. from Trojan Milwaukee's Fuel Cafe Not heard of this place except for it was supposed to be the place to go. |

"The Garage" aka "The High Hat" was the place to go, but once the neighbors complained TWT was moved to the owners "other" establishment which has zip capacity and is in a weird hood. Have to admit I like the Fuel Cafe from it's small coffee house sandwich shop eclectic environment. Just not on the same scale as "The Garage" which would be comparable to "The Vortex." |

I dunno, all the capacity the Vortex has is the parking lot. Not a big bar and grill by any stretch. Check it out here I don't care how small it is as long as they recognise me when I walk in, and hand me a beer, as I walk out to take pictures. The food there is real good! Edit: Bike Night is at the Little 5 Points location (Message edited by glitch on September 10, 2004) |

The Vortex looks really great. Would fit in well in our Water Street Area, which currently is dominated by the HD crowd for bike events. Hmmmm...that may be the essence of the issue. Not enough sport bikes to take over Water Street on any given night. LOL In all honesty, Milwaukee has a myriad of places that bikers hang out at and the vast majority are really nice places. Helps if you ride a Harley, but that isn't a requirement. It just seems that now that I ride one in town, I can park closer to the door and not in some dark alley. LMAO |

The main thing I like about the Vortex is the good ol' sayin' "it ain't what you ride, it's that you ride. On any given Bike Night you can see most any kind of bike. We had 11 Buells show up last night, six of us left together, what a sound we all made! |

That's a fake filter on the left side? Sorry, but that to me is a big no no! If it don't work it won't be on my bike. What a let down. Rocket |

Didn't Tilly's have a two carb setup on one of their racers? How'd it work out? Did it make more horsepower, or did it cause more problems? Since I don't see anyone running that setup, I'd assume the latter. |

There was also a red S2 that a shop put together that had dual carbs and manifolds.. Used it for a horsepower shootout and won... |

Warrs of London had twin carb's on their tube frame racer for at least some of the last season it raced. It's my belief, so I could be wrong, that Buell had sourced the heads from Tilleys for Warrs. The tube frame racer was retired at the onset of the XB's. I asked about buying the twin carb head \ set-up some time ago but one of the Warr's told me the factory had 'claimed' it all back. Not sure I believe that either. I saw the set-up up close once. The manifolding was a pretty tight squeeze but that was the special bit from what I could see. I couldn't say for sure if the inlet porting on the head(s) was different. It was hard to tell - and remember. Long time ago now. Rocket |

The Tilleys race bike I saw a few years back had the dual manifold/carb setup and the heads looked normal... I talked to Tilleys a couple times about selling the manifolds after they stopped racing tubers but no luck... I would love to play with that setup!!!!!! |

Yeah, I could agree with that Todd. I've thought some more after my last post and i don't believe the heads were anything other than normal configuration. I'm going to call Warrs tomorrow, see if those manifolds aren't still kicking about the place. Rocket |
