Handlebars... 7/8" OD, 6" rise, 32" width, 8-1/2" pullback, 5" centers. Can vary slightly from these dimensions. Want to try them on my X1. If you know of anyplace I can get them, please post or email me. |

Jason, seems all S-2's I have seen/owned suffer from fiberglass fatigue, probably vibration induced. Some comes from an inexact fit from slight distortions in molds, perhaps.I get cracks around mirror mounts,in seat pan area and in curves of tank cover where your legs sit.Probably other places I can't remember without looking at the bike.At least I never had any of the dread "bubbles" in my paintwork. |

Wanted: Stock Air Box, '96-'98 S1, $30? I'm looking for a stock air box as fitted to the '96 through '98 S1 Lightning. This is the squarish air box and it is NOT the same as used on this vintage S3 or M2. The outer cover is secured with a vertical screw through the top rear and a horizontal nut & bolt through a tab at the bottom rear. I'd like to find a box complete with mounting plate and all the innards, but would be happy with the outer cover at a minimum. There must be thousands of these rotting on garage shelves. I can't remember any Buell of this vintage run with the stock air box, and most had the front mounting bracket hacked off the engine mount so the air box could never be used again. Please help a fellow Buell rider. -Chris |

Wanted: Rear Header Guard, '96-early '97 S1 plus others?, $25? I'm also looking for the as-shipped rear header heat guard for my bike. In contrast to the part that supersedes the part I'm looking for, the desired heat shield has a smaller diameter and is painted flat black, not textured. I'm trying to return my bike, a '97 S1, to its as-delivered condition and appreciate any help. Thanks, -Chris |

Chis_s1 I've got an inner to the box in question. Actually, I have about a dozen or so air box inners, since I made the molds for that project No very helpful, though... |

Chris-s1 Just sold my s1 to a guy here in Kansas City. He might part with the orignal airbox and filter and guts, I put a forcewinder on it, and I don't think he wants it anymore. I owe him a phone call tonight so let me know if you are intrested?? |
